Mutations happen and win out when an incomplete kill is made. They are selected for. Remember avid-resistant supermites? They didn't come from growers who didn't treat for mites....
I'm not a scientist and don't pretend to be, but I do understand proper IPM.

lol no that's not correct. Mutations happen when the virus genes undergo random copying errors in unvaccinated populations. We are all living Petri dishes for the virus to replicate and make these coping mistakes. Sometimes the error is less infectious, sometimes it's much worse. Given enough time and people to mutate in it could end up being the world's most deadly virus. Vaccinated populations seem to hinder this process. I was interested in learning more relating to vaccinated populations but I can't locate any info/data on the subject.

The article I posted the other day (see below)stated that the delta variant has an viral transmissibility rate (Ro) of 6-7, meaning that every infected person will infect 6-7 additional people, and they in turn will infect an additional 6-7, etc, etc until the virus runs out of people to infect. Per the CDC, the US is averaging more than 100,000 new infections per day. Anyone who is familiar with exponential progression can see where this is going to take us in the next couple of months. I believe that the delta variant is about to go “supernova” and most of us, at least in the US, will be exposed/re-exposed. And while the vaccinated are a lot more protected than the unvaccinated, we are still at risk.
