...I care more about this community than you realize, especially the newcomers that need all of us with experience, I learned a lot here back in the day and I try to pay it forward where and when I can.
...I had to shut down late in 2018 because I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and while they tell me they got 100% of the cancer when they took my esophagus out, the surgery left me much diminished so I doubt I'll ever get to grow again, maybe shrooms, lol.
...anyway that is why I hate seeing so much casual ignorance around here, we've become so focused on what makes us different instead of focusing on what we have in common and the casual insults only serve to further divide us.
...and you being a mod means you stand as a role model so when you step ignorant others follow.

i'll start with the last part...i'm a frequently contributing member who is also a mod,not the other way around. i have as much right as any other member to express my opinions except that as a moderator as well i seriously moderate what i say,if i was just a member i probably would have been banned by now!
so,if i've mentally mis-characterized you then i apologize,my perception was i was only seeing your user name come up here in the speakers corner and in the past there have been problem users who did nothing but post here. on the old site i could have simply looked up your post history and seen you were legit and that would be that.
while it's not a site policy me personally as a moderator as long as you're taking part in the conversation about growing pot in any fashion than i really don't care what gets said here in the speakers corner or what position you support,and insults so long as it doesn't get out of hand and too personal or go on for too long i could care less,we're all supposed to be adults and it's just a bunch of stoners talking,nothing to get wound up over.

...forget my health shit, like I said, they assure me that the cancer is gone and no matter how diminished I may be, I'm alive, my brain still works and I have 3 grandbabies to enrich my life, frankly, without them I'd have probably skipped the surgery all together and just let the shit work itself out, which means I'd already be in the ground now and I'm not, instead I still get to spend time with those grandkids.
...yesterday in fact I got to spend some time with my 6yr old granddaughter, just her and me, I took her to Iggy's down by the beach to get clam cakes and chowder and so she could play on the beach, then I took her for an ice cream sundae, ...we both had a blast.
...as to you having a right to share your opinion I say fine, but you really are often condescendingly ignorant to anyone who isn't on the left and you create an imbalance because if i say something you don't like you can ban me but if you insult me I can't respond in kind because I can't ban you.
...so all who engage with you have to be very careful what they say while you can be as ignorant as you like, and you often are.
the problem there is you're taking my post far too seriously,i'm usually just being funny,it's just busting chops.
yeah, that's a cop out that let's you off the hook, the truth is a lot of the nuance of humor is lost with only the printed word to go by so what you may mean as light and funny, others see as insulting and snide.

Straight up name calling isn't very interesting (i'm guilty) to anyone, but laughing at peoples 'whacky' ideas and perspectives on things shouldn't be taken as an insult (imo) and if you do get insulted by them then maybe you are taking yourself a little too seriously?
