Happy birthday! You're going to love having chickens. Once they get used to you they're quite sociable. And fun to hang out with especially when accompanied by our cats. Friendly little creatures and such tasty eggs!

Very cool, let me/us know how you like it.. I want to buildSo I've started a lot of seeds and variety for the summer. It'll be fun to watch and eventually taste!!!
Set-up a 50 gallon tea brewer today. Set-up a fermentation/steeping station for pest repellents and FPE's.
Started more compost. Sowed more cover crops (200 sq ft worth).
One of the chicken's is starting to get its comb
What's the black and white one?
Here's my gals, about time to run around the yard.

The one chillin' on the brick in the middle is Merry Poopins & she is an Ameraucana chick who'll lay the blue eggs.
Other two are Gizmo (silver Wyandotte) & Henny ( Plymouth Barred)
I've been loving my oils... lemongrass rosemary and wintergreen all make quite the good repellents... emulsify with potassium silicate powder... add a touch of Dr. Bronner's unscented baby-mild castile liquid soap or some 200x aloe powder... good to go... plus its quite nice when the smell of mint or lemongrass completely fill the joint around here... I'm thinking of adding thyme oil citronella oil and perhaps orange oil... although I dont need a fungicide up here... It'd just be nice when its orange day in the rotation...
