Happy birthday! You're going to love having chickens. Once they get used to you they're quite sociable. And fun to hang out with especially when accompanied by our cats. Friendly little creatures and such tasty eggs!

So I've started a lot of seeds and variety for the summer. It'll be fun to watch and eventually taste!!!

Set-up a 50 gallon tea brewer today. Set-up a fermentation/steeping station for pest repellents and FPE's.

Started more compost. Sowed more cover crops (200 sq ft worth).

One of the chicken's is starting to get its comb :)

Hell yeah Hatch! I'm going to be running my keeper CP x Gogi this summer a bunch and am going to pop some more HA x LTs as well. The HAx's can be quite beastly if enough Thai comes through in the pheno...a buddy plopped a seed into two year old horse manure and it went ape. Nicest male I've seen in a while, lol.

Best of luck, hit me up if you need anything man.

Keep an eye out for herms in the CP cross....but there's fire in them jeans...haha.

Got tired of running 2 five gallons every other day. I'll take care of the whole property now with it. Drill mounted atop with a stir plate attachment. Have it on a timer, 1 min on 4 min off.

See how it goes. Installed a hose spicket on it, so it can drain into whatever or I can run a hose off it.

I've been loving my oils... lemongrass rosemary and wintergreen all make quite the good repellents... emulsify with potassium silicate powder... add a touch of Dr. Bronner's unscented baby-mild castile liquid soap or some 200x aloe powder... good to go... plus its quite nice when the smell of mint or lemongrass completely fill the joint around here... I'm thinking of adding thyme oil citronella oil and perhaps orange oil... although I dont need a fungicide up here... It'd just be nice when its orange day in the rotation...

I need to battle the PM continually indoors during the winter.

Seaf0ur your oils... home-made or bought (any good source you've found)? Dr. B's got plenty of that! Don't have any aloe powder, just plants. How much do you use per gallon?

www.100pureessentialoils.com good prices, bulk sizes, and quality oils with no filler or carrier oils added... I've been using 2-4 ml/gal with no burning yet... I do usually give a quick water rinse at lights up, but even when I dont there has been no burning... I imagine each oil is slightly different, but I do em quite similar to how I do neem oil...

Nice. She's also an ameraucana. You'll be happy with that breed. Whenever the others stop laying for a few days at a time she is still pumping them out. They are a bit smaller eggs compared to other breeds however they taste the best and are produced more often than the others....good tradeoff.

Plants outside are doing well. Hash plant & Ken's Kush (wow what the aroma!!, but not much on potency, last cut/run)

Almost done with the chicken coop...just need to finish the front wall (the door is installed), place it in the yard, install the feeder + H20er, and put the chickens in it :) !!

Fodder system for the chickens is in full swing now! They love it. Next round of chicks in a couple weeks.

Always something to do.
