i could be wrong but i belive subs been doing things with the bio-canna medium & nutrients. comes out stellar btw
yeah that's it the plants look friggen intense, i'd love mine to be as hot!
Throwin in my 2 pennies on the Maple leaf indica. Ive grown her quite a few times over 10 years. I think its the best 100% affie ive smoked and ive sprouted a bunch. Good taste , smooth smoke with a happy narcotic buzz. Its a quality strain overall, but you can pick around through a couple of packs and find a tasty gem that finishes quick and makes some potent, quality smoke and stellar hash.
sorry everyone to not have updated much...i killed off all 4 of the hash plants i had in flower(those above harvest pics were greenmophos-haha) i have cuts of all 4 of these phenos plus the fifth as of yet undetermined sex plant in veg...ive had an ongoing battle w pm in my flower room as i am on perpetual harvest, and because of it the pm always came back, regardless of how clean the plants were in veg. and i got tired of fighting...so...i harvested other plants early for hash and just trashed these girls..however...
---i have things clean, got my hands on some systemic fungicide from a fellow med grower and am starting from scratch...i did have them in there long enough to see some basic structures...one seemed to have more sativa leaning features...longer skinnier leaves...taller...and the bud formations were less compact...with the other three looking similiar enough i will have to take them farther into flowering before i can tell if there are differences...but very stout burly looking plants w squat tops and short arms...
....sorry to disappoint, but i couldnt take it anymore! so we will get things rolling again very soon...sub

Yea, I'm def a big joint smoker. I never do bongs or bowls. I just don't like the taste of weed in bowls, not the weed, but the nasty resin build up, etc., only hash. Bongs are good, but break easily, so I can't justify spending a ton of cash on one. I do own a volcano, and I enjoy it, just don't hit it enough!
Man I was looking forward to this, hopefully you'll flower some soon. I have a hashplant just finishing up.
She is a 80's pre numbered HP and just cemented herself as a permanent resident in my garden. The smell is straight dead skunk! I was hoping to compare her to yours. Oh well good thread anyways!
Here she is at around 2-3 weeks, I'll put a harvest shot up too if ya don't mind
About the FFA.. I have ran her twice and like but not love it, I cannot see how people think it is "kushy" I think it is very far from kushy tasting in fact I think it smells and tastes almost exactly like burnt fruit loops if that makes sense. To each his own I guess.

Hey Self, not the typical super fat leaves that hash plants usually have? Whats the flower time on her?
I'll tell ya what man, I tried thinning out some of the leaves this round on my Royl kush and on the Hashplant and as it vegged, the leaves grew narrower on the Royal than they ever have, wonder if the same effect happened to the Hashplant. The flower time is approx 65 days. I've been told shes ready as early as 50-55 but to hold it until 9 weeks. She's looking great man, I might even go snap a pic or two right now

Thats def not the hash plant we used to run back in FL. Ours finished 40-45 days, decent yielder, 4oz. each, bubbly buds. Usually got chopped at 40 days or so, if you let it go 50 days it would go pretty amber. Really spicy, hashy, almost kushy taste. It looked damn near neon green! I think someone on this thread mentioned that pheno as "the lizard". My current Sensi Seeds Hash Plant is bland at best in comparison, and runs 50 days at least, could probably go a full 9 weeks! It is a good night time smoke for sure, strong indica buzz, couch lock, but not as special as the old school Hash Plant, unfortunately.
Back in FL, I used to only know 1 Hash Plant, (pretty sure it was a PNW clone-only that got passed down to us, or a really good Sensi pheno), but now I see so many versions of hash plant, some very low yielders, some monster producers, some slow growing, some very vigorous, and I've seen wide ranges in hash plant flower times, between 35-70 days! They are almost always 100% pure indica, and usually root very easily and have huge fat dark green leaves, IME. I'm not giving up on hash plant yet, just disappointed with Sensi Seeds a little, mostly on the flavor and bag appeal side of things.
I got a 35 day cut of another hash plant, and I'm currently sourcing a true HP13. I am also interested in the Reserva Privada X18 and DJ Short's Blue Moonshine, which he calls a "hash plant" of sorts, even though its from his Blueberry/Flo P1s, so its got some sativa in there for sure! Once I find a cut I like, I'm probably going to be trying to breed my own hash plant. Probably not for any commercial reasons, mostly for me to pop a million seeds seeking out a super special pheno that will finish by 45 days. Sorry, I got a bit of a hash plant fetish....

Wow, in 1993 I was watching the Simpson's on my grandma's couch eating otter pops....I guess I could do that now though.
Many afghani girls floating around have been given the name hashplant from that region, one really sticks out do to marketing. Over the years I've tried to collect a decent amount of genes from that region. That said, It's been my experience that a lot of my N. afghan strains have sativa leaning leaves. My early 80's chitral as well.
