Pheno 1:

PICT0074-2.jpg

BAG APPEAL-8.5- Looks good, crystally with some purples, dense too.

SMELL-3- Real faint smell, gotta squeeze it to smell it and even then not very strong at all, smell is like northern lights. hint of sweet but mainly fuelly.

TASTE-7- old school taste, reminds me of highschool, kinda harsh and a lil spicy, kinda hashy.

YIELD-8.5- Pretty good yield, Gotta almost 2 ounces off her and thats while fightin problems with the grow.

HIGH-6.5- Calm and relaxing, Good for afternoon or for lightweights who dont like to be hella stoned, more of a kickback, mostly in the body. creeps a lil bit too.

Medicinal Properties- Maybe relieve anxiety, helped my back a lil bit, maybe pain relief if you smoked enough of it..

Keeper? Nah

Pheno 2:

PICT0068-3.jpg

PICT0065-2.jpg

BAG APPEAL-8- About the same as the other pheno accept without the purple.

SMELL-7- Smells way better than the other pheno, northern lights with a hint of trainwreck and a lil bit of sweet licorish. much stronger than pheno 1.

TASTE-7- Taste like it smells, sweet on the exhale with a hashy taste too.

YIELD-7.5- yielded less than the other, I think this is partly my fault because I topped it and from the main cola on the otherone had the most weight. To other growers Id recomend not topping your hashberrys unless you do it real early in veg.

HIGH-7- More of kick than the other, relax and kick back, also makes you forget what your doing. Good high, still not too potent though.

Medicinal Properties- Same as above, only a lil better for pain.

Keeper? Not for me, but definitly the better of the 2 hashberrys, also the only one that didnt hermie on me.. :bashhead: If your gonna keep a hashberry though this would be the one to keep..

Well thats my report, Hashberry was easy to grow but they all ended up poppin balls accept pheno 2, so I personally wouldnt recomend them. Smoke not bad though.

Have been checking your grow in the Mandala forums...good report. Looks like I only have a single HB this year...maybe I'll let it go a little longer than normal

Hi everyone,
most of the report is close to my experience with HB,except I also had a very sweet/fruity pheno that yielded ok and had maybe a bit more sativa in the high. And I've been lucky enough to have no hermie problems.
kept it for a while then crossed it with satori from the same breeder. Those are flowering now and I'll wait till august to see if the cross works.
All of you have a good day !

I've been growing hashberry for about a year now and I'll agree that it's mostly a mellow, laid back kind of high. Not too strong. The pheno I kept has an incredibly overpowering fuel and menthol smell that burns my nostrils when I stick my nose in a jar. I've had some bananas on a couple runs but also discovered a light leak so it was most likely my fault. I ran Mandala #1, which has a great apple type smell and a GREAT flavor. I'm not good at describing flavors so I won't try, but it's really good. High from that is exclusively in the head. Lastly, I grew out White Satin (also from mandala) and that one is the strongest stone of the three. Somewhat stupifying. Taste is not that great though and the smell is fruity.

i've found hashberry to be a very mellow smoke but one that pleases every time. usually if i use the word "mellow" it's a polite way of saying "weak" but not in this case. mellow as far as hashberry goes is more a description of the feeling you're left with after burning her. she is great for people suffering from ADD/ADHD and is a valid alternative to harsh antianxiety drugs. i have a good friend who has a friend with an inoperable brain tumor. she has intense difficulty forming sentences and deals with a great deal of pain. she is prescribed a number of pharms but doesn't like to take them. my friend took her a bit of hashberry not too long ago and said after one puff she was able to form complete sentences without difficulty and had no noticeable pain. i have noticed the hashberry to be great at relieving tension and also works great for people suffering from depression. just thought i'd put it out there. i will admit that hashberry isn't the "knock you on your ass" strain some people are looking for but it sure as shit is effective at healing just about anything that ails ya without making you a complete zombie.

nice honest report; my experience with Hashberry exactly. A little too mellow for me, especially after the time & expense . . . .

very disappointing after 3 or 4 months of work.

Thank you, perpetuallylost. As someone who medicates for PTSD/depression and anxiety, it's really hard to get accurate information on strains that would be helpful. I'm older, as is probably obvious, and find it strange that grass smoking seems to have become like an extreme sport. Where f*&ked up is more important than high and happy.

i can totally feel that prz, particularly for medical use beyond pain relief, sometime knock you on your ass potency isn't the aim or desire.

My experience with Hashberry is positive but it's not the best strain in the Mandala line up for me personally.

i kept a blackberry edged one for a while, as mentioned the smell is slight until ground then a fairly intense aroma is revealed.

the strain description for this one says the classic chill out weed and as my experience with Mandala so far dictates, that is bang on. potency is more than enough to knock down the inexperienced smoker but for most regular/seasoned smokers the straight up potency and high is nice and mellow. initially a light giggly head high with plenty of body and mind relaxation. the high is never energetic but is clear enough to allow for good conversation and plenty of laughs but keep smoking or let the high run it's course and it does become more of a bed time weed.

if you're looking for out and out beat ya down potency look elsewhere but for a happy chilled out high hashberry is great. horses for courses.
