Hashberry First Grow

Hey guys this is my first grow after reading for about 4 months. I have been thinking about making a grow diary and I just smoked a bowl and figured I would start one... I will start with the specifics of my setup.

Strain: Mandala Hashberry

SOIL:
2 parts Fox Farm Ocean Forest
1 part Perlite

Lighting:
250W MH for Veg
250W HPS for Flower

Cabinet:
I built my own 2 chambered grow tent using wood framing and a tarp and then black and white poly.
(came out nice but i still have to figure out some better light proofing for the inlets cause the light boxes I made don't work for shit. Not a huge deal though the room they are in is dark all day long just have to make sure when i get ready to flower I will need to light proof the chambers from themselves.

Ventilation:
I have a Stanley Blower fan extracting air out of the flower chamber and there is a vent between the 2 chambers and the intakes are on the veg chamber so it pulls in through the veg chamber into the flower chamber and out the top.

Water:
Right now I'm using 50/50 Tap/Distilled water that has a PPM of 50 and is adjusted to a PH of 6.5

Here are Pictures of the seedlings that I planted on 8/7/2007
The first one popped on 8/11/2007 and the other a day later I decided to plant 2 more on of them popped on the 8/20/2007 waiting for the other it looks like its just about to come out.

These pictures were taken on 8/25/2007

Here are some pics of my setup sorry for a few them being messed up my camera phone doesn't like the MH light.

Looks like there growing pretty slow considering it has been almost 2 weeks(like 13 days) sense they popped the surface and that is all the growth they have...
I have been lightly misting the soil surface because the MH dries the soil surface out pretty quick i make sure not to spray the leaves though.

Thanks guys in advance for any comments you have I will probably be updating with new pics like once a week.

Hashberry has always looked of excellent quality to me and one day I hope to grow it. Until then I guess I'll just have to keep watch over this thread to see how it turns out. I'll be watching! Good luck!

in the second pic i don't know if you can see it but there are little black spots on my leaves they almost look dark purple and the pattern is symmetrical all over the tips of the leaves there not raised bumps its just the color of the leave... what could this be? ill try to get better pictures...

sup bro, the black spots your looking at...Hmmm I want to say that looks like nutrient burn, or maybe just lacking of nutrients? What are you feeding them? Also my buddy just got an OG kush clone, a WHILE ago...I went to his house and told him he was over watering, and he said he knew he had drenched it too much. When you over water your plants don't ned to do work to find water, so they become lazy and grow SLOW as hell. Your soil looks pretty wet bro, maybe this is the problem. Try to let the soil dry out a little bit all the way through, this won't kill the plants it will just let their roots go in search of water...And when roots grow, plants grow!!! haha hope this helps dude, good luck sweet flowering chamber

Im not feeding them any nutes the soil looks wet there because i just watered before that pic :)

I think the problem is that i have not been watering enough i have only watered them 2 times but i have been misting the soil daily so im gonna stop misting them and just water them when there dry

yeah no need to mist the soil. best way to gauge when to water is the pot-weight method. get another pot identical to what ur growing in and put in some dry soil. that should be how it feels before you water the plant.
