Hash review 2024 icmagcup

A well frog. Who it never got out of the well, so he thinks the sky is round, and sometimes some birds fly by that's all he knows about the world. This is a Chinese fable; I was that frog before I saw the ICMagcup. We are very close to Morocco thus Moroccan Hash is a product that can easily be found in Barcelona or all of Europe. I can not verify whether it is legit or fake sometimes they give me some Nepal temple ball, the Pakistani hash is just the same texture for me. Well that's all I knew about hash, I remember once upon a time my friend told me that he found some good Moroccan hash from a Moroccan first-hand resource I asked him "How good is it ?" he said it had some marijuana odor. Perhaps you can imagine what quality we could have? I mean yes I could find some ice-isolated products also we have La Piattella yeah that famous one, maybe I'm still that silly frog maybe I am arrogant however if you're a judge of the year and you bought the hash pack. I think you know what I mean I saw many entries are crazier multiple times than La Famous Piattella.

The hash entries were out of this world.

Number 65 and 90 and 85 get a special mention from me.

I would be really interested in hearing about the processes involved in making these specific entries because to me they were particularly special.

The strains were revealed but there is so much variation in hash making tech these days that I want to know more. 65 and 90 were super fresh to begin, I was lucky enough to save a bit of each and both have nucleated into completely different textures making them way more manageable and terpy.

Hash making is a very specialist subject and BCN is where the best hash in the world is imo. The levels of most entries were insane.

Also shouts to @velorex for blessing us with the real deal Piatella. Absolutely incredible.

Some ...hash from the club

Cool to see what the modern Maroc hashes are testing. It’s interesting that even when extracting the trichomes and trying to remove all plant matter they can only hit high 30s, which is more or less equivalent to modern indoor flower.

Have you tested any of the higher end Maroc hashes, the ones they label static or 120u frozen?

Purity is the most important aspect of a hash in my opinion, because it involves physical processes. We filter them for the reason that we want the best part of the marijuana, likewise, we use different microns for different trichomes, All we did was just for pureness.
With all due respect, #86 is not pure enough and includes a hair even. We wanted the trichome's bulb head instead we got a hair, I could not find the bulb head with my microscope maybe this entry was not from the best filter screen? The smell is acidy and quite woody, perhaps this is what brrr berry means? Some wild forest scents? There is some gas odor behind but slightly. Well, I think we have smoked Og and Cookie for many years so I would say the effect is nonspecial, I put this entry at last because it has the longest hair.

I had the same feeling. As hobby hash maker myself, would be happy to chat next year with some more experienced makers as well. I'm thinking about getting vacuum pump for the next run and try piatella style.

Who handles the samples is irrelevant; the issue is that for this competition, almost all the samples are manipulated, divided, or reassembled to fit the 1g jar. All of this in a country (Spain) where sending samples or transporting them is still illegal and, sometimes, is done in less than excellent conditions.

For this reason, IMHO in a competition like this, the appearance of the samples should be of little relevance.
(I remember similar controversies in previous years, regarding the appearance of some reassembled weed nugs or the temperature at which the hash was stored)

In the first place, I recommend everyone follow this Instagram account shwale. They are professional about hash and trichome. If someone were just a normal hash maker I would not be so mean like this but the #86 entry was from a champion hash maker of dab a doo cup. What I want to say is it could be better, the last thing I want to say is you could find a thousand reasons for the mistake but some people did it better than this.
I don't know how other judge did their job or what standards they have. But if icmag Cup allows me to be a judge I am supposed to do my best. And we had something better and cleaner than #86...also

Entry 84 papayana
In the beginning, I want to tell you a story, it's about the hash the odor, and your self-confidence. On a normal sesh day in NPK club, " How do you think this one? I can not get any smell from it, maybe I smoked and smelled too many samples today." Then I opened the bag and honestly, I did not notice any smell also. Therefore I suggest he try those hash samples. "Wooo is it perfume? as well as some chemly scent?" After he opened the #XX. I mean sometimes we have to trust our instincts we always try to be nice and polite, so we won't offend anyone. So we are afraid to tell the truth.
I saw two entries are papaya genetic, 84 is called papayana and 85 is called zopaya. Compared two samples I will say 85 is the winner.
I won't say it smells really like a papaya or whatever. It's more like some fresh cucumbers mixed with skunky sweet. I can find some glandular heads inside the hash, so it is better and purer than 86. But it isn't sticky enough and does not melt. Additionally, the effect is not that intense, 86 is better.

The texture of 85 was also way more special, lots more terps present and even when nucleated stayed pretty wet and greasy.

Lots of fruit flavours featured this year in both hash and rosin, papaya is apparently a popular one. I preferred the gas and chem ones but understand why the fruit ones are popular with extractors because the terps carry through into the hash very well.

We always talk about the aroma, taste, or smell. Strawberry banana apple grape guava you name it. I´m not sure what we are talking about is it candy or marijuana? Nowadays it feels like they don´t care about the effect anymore. Instead, me and my friends have been complaining we could not get high like before for a long long time, no matter what that is. We tried Cali we tried Gary Payton mimosa so on. But it's the same, I can't tell or confirm they are Sativa or Indica, because it gave me the same effect, short duration low ceiling. #88 came fast and strong however I remember what DJ Short said, Something coming fast mostly won't have a long duration. This is a good example because I was so excited in the beginning about 10 minutes I felt like Gervonta Tank gave me a body punch, but I survived! Because it had not enough vitality haha! after that, I smoke another joint. They trying to breed some cigarette-type marijuana for us cause it engages us to buy more and more.

I finished 82 today. The only one hash that was judged in the powder form.
I cannot stop smelling the box. Tangerine-ambery-resiny, full body scent. Reminds me a little woody-violet aftertones from one collogne I used. Really like this terpene profile, wonder how piatella would taste from that plant.
