done right, its just as effective and clean as any other method.

this was some 91% Isopropyl Alch. Honey oil left to PROPERLY dry and cure.

You dont have to be such a meany about it.I see your just trying to help but please dont sound rude.The stuff i made was alittle black but mostly golden/tan.It was a great high and very long lasting.I may be allergic or something to iso but i dont know.I like pressed hash better and water hash is good too.

im being rude because u are making this type of concentrate out to be garbage, and harmful, when really it was just your technique.

i seriously doubt any of the listed side effects u gave have to do with what you smoked,

in all seriousness, i sincerely apologize if your feelings were hurt, definitely was not my intention.
I was just stickin up for an effective route to obtaining a smokable concentrate.
it may seem ghetto, but liquid solvent extraction is safer, cheaper, and less hassle then BHO.
ya just gotta do it the right way. it wont always look like my pic above--it can come out oily, depending on the starting material....but oily and tar-like are two different things.

and dont get me wrong, kief owns. but it's a totally different animal then honey hash.

roughly a 60 second wash. unbleached coffee filter. hot water bath.
then it takes a week+ to dry/cure in open air to where u have glass-like pseudo-kief.
anything under 48 hrs dry time is terrible and i wont smoke it unless im desperate and out of herb like i am today (lol)
scrapes up in crystal form most the time...but u must lay it to evap very very thin.
in other words, do small batches...quarter oz and under per pyrex dish or large corningware.
the more weed used the more concentrate accumulates as it evaporates and u are left with a thick glossy yellow dish of stuff that will never fully dry out and be the tar-like oil no matter what u do.
but like i said u get some strains that make oilier product that is not crystalline in nature no matter what--
for this use some wax/parchment paper and store in the freezer air-tight.

tip: even the tiniest piece of plant matter can ruin yer batch
so be as careful as possible durin the filtration step. i hear a french press works wonders.

nah it wasnt bho. it was commercial liquid extract im sure...what color was it? consistancy? dark and gooey? red and liquidy? yellow? black? try the alchohol with a quick wash and follow the steps i listed above, itll be much finer then any commercial honey oil from back in the day...it (the old honey u speak of) was prolly made with some heady sativa in the first place come to think of it, which makes sense--u only get what u put into yer concentrates. junk in>junk out

Im confused what do you wash with hot water?

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the double boil method with the pyrex. Letting one plate sit in another full of hot water so the ISO evaporates.
