Just checked the holes after days of rain .. They aren't holding water somehow !! They have good drainage somehow . Definately going to use them ..

Gypsum, play sand, and a tiller.

could make yourself a raised bed, adding gypsum or compost to that soil will help but it will help more in a couple years, it helps the first year but fully realized in a few. If your whole area is like this, you may consider amending different spots years in advance, adding compost and gypsum each season with no planting so in a couple years you have them prepared and awesome ground to grow in.
