I live in one of the reddest of the red states and I think your observation is WAY off. Over the past few months I have heard some of THE most racist comments, mostly directed at Obama, that I have heard in my entire 50 years of life. I grew up in Memphis TN in the early 60's and remember the day MLK was killed and what that city was like before and after, I knew people who were directly involved in the Civil Rights movement so I do have somewhat of a base of reference to compare to.

People that I once considered friends have uttered some of the most vile and racist things I've heard in recent memory and have NEVER heard in connection to ANY previous presidential election. And I'm not talking about 1 or 2 opinionated people, I'm talking in the dozens.

Maybe where you live its all sunshine and rainbows, but racism is alive and well in the US. I suppose people can choose to ignore it, or call it out for what it is.

What I am referring to is our society as a whole. The black man does not have to go to the back of the bus. The yellow man is as welcome on a work list as the red man is.
We have laws that go the extra length to make certain that race does not enter into most anything we do in our modern society.
And each and every man or woman that is born in the US has the very same opportunities as the next does. Race is NOT a factor, except in the minds of the weak, and those who gain from racism being perpetuated.

Funny how the left claims to be the defenders of the oppressed, when they are the original oppressors. Yet another phony game being played on those who don't care to find out the facts.

Whites are not the only racists. In fact most white people are so afraid of being viewed as racist by their friends etc that they are terrified to say or do anything.

As far as I am concerned, blacks racism towards whites continues because of a combination of two things: Ignorant 'mentor' or 'senior' figures who generally dislike and do not trust whites, and their rationalization that white people owe them something for slavery.

So yes, while there are certainly still white racists, you might be surprised if you consider the other races hate towards us.



I mean really, watch ANY black comedy or movie from the last 8 years, pay attention to how white people are treated. Example: In a typical black movie, a white woman will either : Hate Black People or Sleep with black men. There apparently is no gray. White men in these movies generally appear to be racist, ignorant, completely stupid and/or are generally 'under' the black man. Go watch 'How High'.

Bush did nothing to promote programs within the US to help employers keep people working. He wanted all our money to go to Iraq for the war, along with the rest of the Republicans, which I'll add is when the price per barrel started to skyrocket. Bush didn't even consider using some of the oil reserves to try and put some pressure on the Arabs to drop their prices. That would have cut into his families profits.....

The economy went to shit long before the Dems took control of things. I won't even bother discussing the tons of cash that went to the auto makers and wall street so they could continue ripping off America.

You guys need to get by this color thing. It's very unattractive....
