Happy Frog

Was wondering if anyone is using or has used Happy Frog soil and what they think of it. Im using FFOF right now but picked up a bag of HF just to see.Thnx in advance. Peace LL

Personally I did not like it right out of the bag-way to heavy so I cut it with FFOF, promix, perlite and now have a great mix. I think a good mix would also be FFOF, FFHF and FFLW with perlite.

I'm using it with a brick of cocoir and perlite. it's working great for me

I have had nothing but good results with Happy Frog. The guy at the hydro shop said that it was basically just Ocean Forest and Light Warrior. I still add some LW and perlite to my mix along with kelp, bone meal, etc. and it works great.
BettysBoy.. how much coco coir did you use with your HF?

I'm having great results with Happy Frog so far. It's my first happy frog grow, but so far so good. Running 50/50 perlite/happy frog.

I mix 1/4 bag with 1 bag OF and add lime and perlite.

DO NOT use happy frog by itself!! I did and I regreted it. The plants had a tough time rooting because of all the heavy bark and the soil was just too heavy.
Its works best if mixed with FFOF or FFLW.

Use it in my compost pile as filler - good stuff..

Did a few tests on it - soaked a cup of HF in a glass of RO water for 24hrs - filter out HF & tested.
