I have a pack coming. 79 Colombian Gold was just ok, speedy (picked early white seeds) and not really euphoric or psychedelic. I gave up on it because of that, but hear that the earlier version was much better. It looks more sativa, looser than what I had back in 79.
When CBG releases their Punto Rojo again jump on it. Their Mangobiche is still out there. Both were regarded as being as good as the gold and mostly better.

1. Western Mass White Grape- My brother was going to school at Umass at the time around 1996. He got some beans from it and crossed it to an old school afghani from the 80's that my dad had grown for years . We called that Afghani White Grape both were insane flowers.
2. Trainwreck circa 2000 prob the "strongest" weed I've ever had but its more about smell and taste for me .
3. Big Buddah Blue Cheese freebie blueberry pheno- one of my first micro grows. I didnt know shit at the time. I prob got about an 8th off the plant lol.
....and there was that one hit of blueberry at bonaroo 2003 that some random passer by gave me. Straight artifical blueberries taste.

Man that's kind of hard after you've put down quite a lot of different varieties, I've appreciated them all in their own way.
For my top 3 it is definitely somewhat nostalgic but on the other hand I haven't tasted stuff like this in years.
The Skunk. The funky smell through the bag through your backpack skunk. Like you hit one mid spray and captured it in a jar like a fart. I guess this is what they are calling roadkill - which never made sense to me as road kill is dead animal funky smell and fresh skunk spray is a different beast.
What was sold to me as 'Sour Kush' in the early 2000s was a sour I haven't tasted since then. Straight pucker up your mouth sour, beautiful acrid taste with a brilliant sour gassy like exhale but not chemmy or og like. Have not tasted anything like that since. Always light green buds with a small amount of orange hairs.
Good oldschool blueberry. Without a doubt the first frosty beautiful shiny nugs I came across. Have not tasted blueberry like that since but I also haven't grown it myself. Very sweet upfront blueberry taste with a tinge of cakey/muffin or baked good taste.
Runners up: Strawberry Diesel, Deep Chunk, old Cindy 99

yes brotha,
When i grew this strain, when harvested, it had the heaviest amount of trichs ive ever seen. Easily made tons of kief/charas joints.

1. Thai weed 1998. Smoked it with hilltribes elders along Thai/Burma border (several days hike NW of Chang Rai & Kings Castle). Kept me up all night alternating between fits of laughter and mild hallucinations. Weed was pressed and wrapped in corn husks.

2. Oriental Blue (Billy Goat):. Great berry flavor and balanced up high with good yield.
3. Panama Red CBD(Coastal seeds):. Active High that is also relaxing but not indica dopey
