where are your branches?!?!? what soil are you using and what nutrients are you giving it? i'm guessing you're using something very cheap, and very high in nitrogen. cause your plants are bean stalks. prob overwatering too.

they're there. i'm using maxibloom right now, i don't think you know how nitrogen works, cuz something high in nitrogen promotes branches and leaves. also something tells me you haven't been reading the words i'm writing and you're just looking at my pictures and making presumptions.

this is just the beginning stay tuned.

i was like 70% through a post when this computer decided it's time to update and restart with no warning. so the short version.

one week after transplant, starting to flower again, thankfully no hermie traits showed themselves during the stressing.
week one flower. the bubba cross is only like 4 weeks from seed at this point, no sex yet.

sweet16 center, left side some habanero plants and a petunia and a daffodil right side some seedlings that aren't gonna make it. some fungus gnats in here.

one more from the side. more later. oh yeah i usually top when i flip to flower too. gets more branching in my experience.

let see this is week 2 of flower end of the 2 weeks well really day 13...but i wasn't accurately counting anyway this is roughly somewhere in the second to third week. prolly really day 15.

The ODD Couple. UBC(unknownbubbacross) front and my swt16 in the rear.

a slow mover just like the mom, 6 weeks old in a 1 gallon pot barely 7 inches tall, starting to branch some, still no sex.

20211113_115334.jpg

swt 16 starting to explode getting tall really fast, a long way from that runt that wouldn't do anything all summer.

20211113_115729.jpg

vrooooooom!!!

be back later. nothing really going on yet just stretching out and making branches. still feeding maxibloom, i need a new bag, this one is 5 years old and i think i remember not needing this much per gallon to reach the same ppm's. but 1200 [email protected] hand watering atm, every other day alternating with a little plain water in between feedings.

lets see here...according to my notes...this should be day 7 since i put em into 12/12. i think. i see i said i was at 2 weeks in my last post...but these pictures say im on day 7 here? lol i think maybe i forgot when i flipped to 12/12 or maybe i only thought i flipped 12/12 i think maybe i didn't have my timers ready or something. anyway day 7 of 12/12 and like...according to my pictures...16 days after transplant. i'm gonna start from here with week one flower officially.

nothing to see same as last time lol.
20211117_112545.jpg

left is bubba, right is what i'm pretty sure is a swt 16. the cups below are some unknown seeds that sprouted from the pile of supposedly dud seeds and dirt.

i need to get my ph in order, these runty mutants, prolly being attacked by fungus gnats, too cold, and wet. just basically bad care. anyway i ordered a new bag of maxibloom. didn't arrive yet. maybe next time.

20211117_112629.jpg

20211117_112620.jpg

they're both getting big in their pots, the swt16 stretching a lot, the bubba, not at all really. getting bigger leaves mostly.

the pot dried out while i was gone, and this is what salt buildup and a sudden change in ph looks like.
oddly enough it only affected one branch. the rest of the plant is fine.

21 days into flowering or thereabouts.

i turned my back for a second and my cat ate these 2 seedlings...so those are done. oh well.
20211127_115224.jpg

Still early not too much to viddy.
got a new bag of maxibloom and got my drippers installed. ready to rock.

20211203_212850.jpg

You might notice the leaves on the topmost branch in the rear has some deficiencies, the pot got hella dry when the dripper clogged and it went without for like 2-3 days i dunno. something like that. anyway got the res filled and changed out with the new mix. I got rid of the bubba cuz i don't need any males right now and nowhere to keep it in veg.

that's it for this week.

like 3 days later since last post. flowering starting to take off rapidly, the deficiencies and burns from the underwater seem to be mostly on one branch with the rest of the plant looking fine.

the affected branch is the one on the left side of pic. the rest is normal. you can see some light burns, some leave curl from low humidity, and the beginnings of some micro deficiencies.

same branch as first pic a week later.

still feeding @ 1000ppm with added epsom salt for the extra magnesium they need in the first few weeks to mid flowering phase. ph is ~6.1 , i usually try and keep it between 5.9 - 6.3. as low as i can get it and then i let it drift back up. using vinegar for my ph down. i'm gonna try using phosphoric acid next see if it stays stable longer before the ph starts going up again.

i am still having trash luck with my seed germination. maybe too cold in here, i dunno. i'm sure i just need to do more hands on care vs setting them into a ziplock or cup of water and letting my friend take care of them with 0 growing knowledge till i return.

hopefully i can get something to sprout because my clones aren't rooted yet and i want to get my shit going for next round.

anyway till next time.

my current veg tent...aka the spare bathroom. got a couple clones from the what i think is a sweet sixteen trying to reveg under this weak ass amazon "grow" light, not really sure what it is at this point, the smell profile is off. smells more like a cross of "the fog" i grew out a while back. if thats the case is gonna be fog crossed to my MF1K male. would explain the leaf curl trait that made me think it was my personal strain.

Click image for larger version Name:	20220110_184823.jpg Views:	0 Size:	144.4 KB ID:	18038777

besides my 2 clones are 3 seedlings, 1 is a random bagseed...well semi random i believe this was "gelato" or "MAC". i don't remember which one had the seeds. i think the gelato. shit but i also found a single seed in the mac and i dunno which of those sprouted. anyway thats not this. this trifoliate is... lol i'm also not sure. i need to label better. it's either (mysterz x sasha f3) or a (gg#4 bx#4 aka 5g#4 x sasha f3). if not they're gonna be Myster-Z's till i confirm otherwise. i think those were the seeds i try to germ that week. in case i forget the seeds i popped after these are WeezyxBSK#6 lol...

back with week 5 of the swt16 or whatever it is in there...

also looking over my pictures and dates again i've skipped over a week somewhere. this is week 4 of flower. not week 5.

week 5 since i flipped, week 4 of actual flowering which is where i count my flowering days from. when the flowers start blooming.

so on with week 4.

closer pic lol. anyway those are the pics from week 4 flower. week 5 from the flip.

feeding maxibloom still @ ~ 1100 ppms 8g of maxibloom and 5g of epsom salt. for a 5 gallon bucket, ph to ~ 6.0 and let it rise over the week.

currently swings too much cuz im using vinegar for ph down, gonna get a bottle of phdown made of phosphoric acid soon.

anyway that all for now. wish me luck with these next set of seeds.

note to self it was (wbk#2 (weezy) x BSK#6)

week 5 of flower, started adding magnesium with feedings to help with the mid flower growth spurt. drippers still getting clogged and watering irregularly. too dry a couple days and stressed out a little bit. but still only the one branch. the rest of plant looks good and flowering is starting to take off and the gaps between the nodes are filling in.

wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==

the main cola

20211220_105257.jpg

noticed some spots on a lower fan leaf flipped it over and of course it's a colony of spider mites trying to destroy my dreams. not wanting to take chances and since i was considering defoliation anyway. i pulled her out and stripped off a few of the lowest branches and almost 80% of the major fan leaves from the bottom up, then gave her a nice foliar spraying with the oil soap. hopefully i caught em in time.

20211220_115200.jpg

seems to be recovering nicely from the defoliation. heres some shots from the end of the week

20211226_172855.jpg

still feeding at the same rate as last week, trying to keep the tip burn to a minimum since i feed daily with every watering and i cant be there to watch everything all the time.

2 of my cuts rooted, but my seedlings are suffering and still having germination issue. we keep trying. at least i have a clone of this one to grow while i work through my seed collection. besides it might turn out to be some super flame shit and i would be salty if i didn't save a cut.

anyway thats week 5 of flower.

week 6

still hanging in there , got a little dry again one day and the ph shot up, got a little nitrogen toxicity, but it's cool, kinda made the flowers bulk up, but also starting to foxtail a little bit. thankfully it's still fairly early and this shouldn't effect the quality too much but i notice the smells changed from the rich bleach chemical lime pine funk to a more subdued "weed smell" which translates to not as varied smell as before.

20211231_122802.jpg
20211231_123251.jpg

keeping up the sprayings with the oil soap, and plucking any leaf i find with a bug on it. i'd rather lose a little yield than lose the whole plant to spidermites.

ugly burnt tips and slight leaf curl from the ph swing, you can see the fox tailing ruining my pretty bud structure. hopefully it doesn't ruin the flavor profile as well.

20220102_122547.jpg

finishing out the week the buds are starting to swell up and the stretching is well over. plant has outgrown these short stakes, ill make sure to use the 5ft stakes next time and flower sooner. plant also outgrowing my light and tent. over 5 foot tall on the main cola. the rest of the branches are starting to droop over.

at the end of week 6 dialing back the nutes a little , the tip burn is spreading. bumping up the epsom salts a little and dropping the nutes a little. gonna try a shot of big bud nutrients in the next watering schedule. starting to get a little bulky and a little frost coming on. see you guys next time.

maxibloom ~ 7g
epsom salt ~ 8g
ph 6.1 @ ~ 800 ppm

week7 of flower and...still going strong. flowers starting to get heavy, but my stakes are short so hopefully it's enough.

20220107_131406.jpg

switched up the nutes a little bit and added a little big bud bloom boosters to see if it has any effect. ppm's might be a little high i got a little tip burn... and unfortunately a nanner :( wamp wamp!

not sure if just an intersex plant by default genes or is from all the stressing. will see on second run maybe.

20220107_133852.jpg

on top of the tip burn still got the spidermites im battling, the defoliation i did to combat them and the previous drying. i would have hermed out too prolly from the stress.

20220107_134249.jpg

salt damage on this one branch only, hot tips and too much nitrogen. from the ph swing...my nutes are low N 5-15-14 gonna drop the nutes over the next week and keep slowly dropping as i get near the end.

20220107_140514.jpg

fucking more spidermites found during my spraying with oil soap. any infested looking leaf even without spots on it....gone. i don't feel like battling spidermite infestation late flower. it's a pointless battle. plants so full of holes and taking up nutrients so poorly, might as well chop em down and start over.

20220110_183530.jpg

anyway looking thin and lanky with most of the fan leaves gone, but she's recovering and still going still smelling up the place and getting sticky. see ya next time for week 8.

week 8, starting off with the messed up branch which is still growing but worse than the main branch. looking pretty fluffy and loose, but still stinky and sticky.

Click image for larger version Name:	20220113_093808.jpg Views:	0 Size:	152.1 KB ID:	18063750

heavy and drooping over, it's too long to stake up anywhere. so i'm just letting it hang and grow sideways.

Click image for larger version Name:	20220115_214832.jpg Views:	0 Size:	182.5 KB ID:	18063751

the main branch and top cola, getting frosty and thick, pistils starting to do the first round of fading, coming up on the second flush of flowers and meaning we're getting closer to the end. you can also see some purple creeping in on the leaf meristems and some slight banding on the leaves. it's not phosphorous deficiency, way more than enough, not that cold in here at night, at best 68 degrees or something. i think whatever plant this is just turns purple, based on the fading purple and the general bud structure and the smells im getting. kind of a purple grapey nutty smell. i'm thinking it's possible this is a wbk cross and not my sweet 16 at all. none of my lineage in the sweet 16 turns purple cept maybe the blueberryish male i added long time ago. what i'm thinking is i either crossed my wbk with some floradiesel pollen but i don't remember any males, or maybe it's a floradiesel offspring from my peanut butter jelly pheno that got some pollen from a boy scout kushies?

i dunno, might never know.

Click image for larger version Name:	20220115_215055.jpg Views:	0 Size:	129.5 KB ID:	18063752

at any rate i took a couple cuts and one actually rooted and is currently in reveg. i'll be able to test and see if it just herms or if it's just fussy and didn't like all the abuse it's suffered all it's life.

happy to say it's growing normal this time around and not just remaining a dwarf for 8 weeks like when i popped the seed.

Click image for larger version Name:	20220116_155345.jpg Views:	0 Size:	160.1 KB ID:	18063753

a good [ok] branch drooping over , spidermite damage on the leaf, but i think i killed em all last time between the spraying and the removing leaves.

a scraggly looking salt damaged branch much fluffier and larfy foxtailing out of control. i can taste the blandness through the picture /cry

anyway back next time with week 9 i think...

last handful of pics before i chopped. it packed on a lot weight near the end, but unfortunately it had also started to foxtail out of control and get bananas popping out all over the place. i believe this was 73 days. i'm gonna run it again since i don't have anything else. my seeds are too old or my environment is too cold, maybe both but very bad seed luck. i popped 4 random bagseeds from all these gelato.cake.kush.cookies.runtz.purple strains not sure what strains, i bought a bag of shake from my man and there were a few seeds mixed in. all of those ones popped of course and my good ass heirloom genetics i've had for 15 years wont pop hardly and the ones that pop survive not long.

but i did get a couple to pop. they will be in the next run along with this clone so i can run it again and maybe under better conditions.

a couple pictures from dry, kinda dry here in the winter so these got dried too fast, the culmination of a bad grow. anyway still came out fairly not bad all things considered. lost most of the smells to the dry but what remains is fruity and chemically like ammonia or bleach or smoething strong like that. taste is that fruity purple taste and a lemon wedge. all in all like 2 ounces of bud about a half oz of trim. the high isn't to my liking and after taking in the smell taste and high and overall structure i'm gonna say this is a f2 seed from the foghorn#2 i grew a while back. which itself was an f2 or hermy seed iirc. i never too much cared for that one, it was average at best.

imma run it again just to have something to smoke but i'm mostly interested in my next generation.

20220202_215721.jpg

this one is one of the many kush cake cookies strains that i run into on a daily.

20220202_220310.jpg

these 2 are my Myster-Z i kept track this time...kinda lol they might also be some "WB-SK6" (white berry kusk x boy skout kushies#6) i popped those in the same week in unlabelled container. not sure which ones made it and which ones died. as you can see one has trifoil or whirled phyllotaxy they have 3 branches per node. they usually grow out of it, this one was no exception, grew out of it in like 2 nodes.
20220202_215707.jpg

and this one is my revegging clone of the "FogBreath" which is what in gonna call it for clarity sake.

20220302_231629.jpg

into the big tent for veg since there's nothing in it right now. you might also notice me trying to scrog the fogbreath...but i dunno wtf im doing lol. plant in the top right is the "Kitana Wins" bagseed cakecoookieskushpurplemac of some sort. the one peeking out in the back is the mystr-z trifoil which has gone back to regular nodal growth. the non weed plant i dunno what it's called.

at any rate the next grow is getting going and i'm excited to see how these 2 new ones turn out. the 3rd one was having some issues and it's like way behind. but it's finally recovering, i'll stagger that one in. anyway till next time i'm not feeling lazy. ciao.

Continuing where we left off lol...

Fogbreath which ive renamed to Rainy Daze in the left cornet wearing the scrog net.
in the middle is the bagseed from some of todays "exotic" high end shit, not sure which bag it came from, maybe purple punch, mac 1, or wedding cake?
on the right side...lemme see if i remember correctly...the bigger one i call Louise cuz might be a WBK cross i made not sure what it ever was but i call it Louise. the smaller one was...checks notes...i dont have my notes around right now but i think it was a male....we'll come back to that one.

20220313_202310.jpg
Here's like a week later after flowers started.

20220418_233755.jpg

fast forward to like week 4 of flower...dunno where the in between pics went and we have a lot of lost time to make up for. i rearranged everything a little. on the left with the frost out to the fan leaves is "Generic New age Bagseed" looks pretty, smells mildly purpley, but like hashplant to the max... so many leaves, leaves and leaves and leaves. very little buds.
In the middle is Louise very smelly and dense, single cola OGK style plant. Lime smells intensify.
On the right side is my Rainy Days under that useless scrog. i got rid of what must have been a male. i only kept 3 all year so i think it must have been SourStrawberry "male"... which is actually an S1/F1 from the sour strawberry fems i ran that time that hermied and cross pollinated themselves.

another wide angle shot...somewhere past week 5 maybe...

Pretty good yields nice loud gas lime smells, turns purpleish by the end. strong high. but...i'm moving away from citrus smells and trying to stick to my own strains. this is 40's "White Berry Kush" crossed to...a random male i had lying around at the time. I got some accidental seeds from my Rainy Days throwing bananas late flower so she lives on in seed form. But i'm mostly focused on my crosses for now.

around the time i was doing that last grow i bought a little 2x2 tent, and a little 50w LED flood light, seemed like the right spectrum and bright enough to grow weed so i got it in the true fashion of being cheap like i've always done. ghetto grow forever. 15 bucks. cant beat that.

20220321_140759.jpg

But since the only other experience i've had with LED for grows was using those converted led light bulbs i had no idea how much technology had improved. We started off pretty good, everything was growing fast and happy, humming along. but then suddenly everything started looking like it was suffering micro deficiencies and slowed down growing. i'm tearing my hair out trying to solve it, was it too cold, too hot? hungy? too much food? none of the symptoms seemed to quite make sense to anything that was going on in the environment.

20220401_170211.jpg

with everything dying I abandoned the veg tent and went back to my bath tub. I eventually figured out that the issue was the intensity of the new LED diodes making my plants need a lot more magnesium than im used to having to feed plants. Eventually i pulled the nose up but not before i lost a few of my seedlings i was really looking forward to growing.

brb gotta find more pics...
