Thanks for all the input about my little episode in the elevator everyone. The feeling immediately went away as soon as I stepped out of the elevator....whewwww.....and poor Gypsy, he had to witness it all
Yep...you knew I'd have to tell this one hey Green Lantern? *dg is already laughing hysterically* So we waited and waited in the lobby of the hotel in Hot Springs for Green Lantern. He was driving about 5 hours to come meet up with us and with Grat3fulHead and Ms.Grat3ful. So we all sat in the lobby waiting for GL after first enjoying some nice G13 that Grat3fulH3ad had grown and brought with them for our enjoyment...yes, it was nice and tasty.
This was our first time meeting Green Lantern and was really glad that he was able to make such a long drive to come meet with us for such a short time.
Finally GL arrived and once we were all up in our room I decided to roll a joint for us all. I did this the same way I do every day....Dutch style, or really European style, which is to use a tip in one end of the joint....not a filter, but a rolled up piece of paper that serves as a tip piece.
Well, I give the joint to GL to light. GL lights it, tokes on it a few times, then I said 'wow, what's burning...smells like something's on fire'....what happened was this, GL lit the wrong end and was smoking the tip piece....ROFLMAO
Sorry GL, but it was hilarious, and glad you just rolled with the laughter
Down here in the south, you can light a joint from either end.
If it were me having the pleasure of smoking a joint with Gypsy, Dutch and the Grat3ful family, I'd be having one of DG's panic attacks and catch the room on fire.
Yes, I took a big ole Green Lantern hit and thought, this tastes like shit, should I say something.... I passed this nice big joint to Gypsy who took a big toke and said what the hell or something to that effect....Looking at the joint he says you lit the wrong end mate!!
End? I Never knew there was a right end to light, then DG showed me there was a filter thing in it....It was actually pretty funny, me and the Mrs laughed all night back in our room at the ass I made of myself.....oh well
....contrary to popular belief....the deep south is a beautifull place.....we drove around Arkansas and re-lived many of D.G.'s childhood memories in the places that she had been in many times before....she showed me places where there used to be plants in abundance at this time of year....She showed me Billy Bob Thornton's house.....she showed me the Taco Bell....the Waffle House and Sandy's Barbeque restaurant........
....we ate.....and we chatted to some of the locals .....When we went to get flowers to put on her Fathers grave the 2 ladies there at the florists knew her and made a fuss over my accent and the fact that they knew her family....Then we went to where her Father was burried in the hired white Jeep....just outside of town on a fine sunny lot.....and she spent sometime making his grave look the most startling and colourfull in the whole grave-yard....It was very moving to see someone come home to her people and the places she had known.........the power of the emotion was obvious to me.........and in such a rural setting...
Hey Gypsy.
Sounds like ya had a blast!!
You got out just before the bad weather hit here in the south.
I been lost..I had forgot my password and just now this morning while burning one it came back to me.
Yes, we had a wonderful time and was alot of fun showing Gypsy around the back woods area of the deep south. California has earthquates, Florida is in the hurricane strike zone, and Arkansas gets its share of twisters. This is in my mom's back yard.....Gypsy thought it was to grow in...LOL Now that's a thought I'm sure my mom had never considered!
Tell you what if I had it Tornado season would be the off season
Texas K & Dutch nice to see you guys,
gonna go duck under a Rock what the F@## another Hurricane is comming to my backyard 3rd one near me 4th for the statew in a month and a half,,,,
Was really funny Tex, Gypsy had not seen a tornado shelter before, had not a clue what it was used for.... oh how he kept my family in laughter!
The days were flying by and soon it would be time for us to fly from Arkansas back to Florida. We had visited with Green Lantern and Gr3atfulH3ad and Ms.Gr3atful and would spend our last morning in Hot Springs with Green Lantern enjoying a Waffle House breakfast. Gypsy was totally impressed with the speedy and attentive service, neither of which is readily available back in the UK or NL for that matter. There's one thing for sure, you want good service, gotta get that in American restaurants cause it's pretty slim pickings anywhere in Europe.
So we looked and looked at the menu...yes, morning munchies were hitting us all after a good morning wake and bake. Gypsy ordered some hash browns and when asked if he wanted toppings he said yeah...all of them....and that's what he got, onions, chili, cheese, the whole lot LOL
After stuffing ourselves we decided to take Green Lantern and his Mrs. up on another mountain adjacent to the hotel. I brought 2 black markers for the occasion....and we played a bit, giggling and laughing at all of our graphitti, but just wanted to leave some notes behind.
