thanks fellas, it really was a rather quick and easy build.

GDW : i'm not worried about fungi as i use hydrogaurd and recently started using something even better, it's called subculture by GH , blows hydrogaurd outa the water. but still, i do plan on making a simple cover for the rez using some foam board coverd in panda. also covering all the channels with panda, did one tonight but had to get going. as far as the light mover providing enough light... i dunno, thats what they are made for right, but if you do the math it's 7 feet x 3 feet = 21 feet so 1000 / 21 = 47 watts per square foot so thats not too bad.

xtra thanks for stopping by, it's running smooth so far, only been a couple of days so we'll see. this is also my very first time flowering with an MH bulb, legit_user was over in chat the other day raving about how mh flowers better so figure i'll see for myself.

everyone else, thanks for the compliments and for taking a look.

hey FG, a close friend did a grow in two separate c24s same time one 400w hps and one 400w mh. the hps cab made bigger denser buds and out yielded the mh noticably. the mh cab however produced visibly more trics and a lil different look to the same strain bud. he has now swapped to both hps but did say the mh was ok to flower with.

thanks for the info dopest. i'll have to done one of those myself at some point, an identical grow using everything the same except for the moms.. maybe even same rez ? can't argue with that one right, it would be pretty definitive eh.

here are the final pics of this build, i've added the lid and coverd the channels with panda.

the little bit of splatterd water you see there will be dealt with, nothing more then a tiny leak and some of the splatter from the drain, i'll add a lil extention so it drains right below the lid but just above the water so it can aereate as it drains. man..... i think i can now officially consider this build complete, time to focus on other larger projects that have been put on hold due to all this little stuff. k then, it's official, build is complete. . . . . . . . .

awesome job looks great. when making the frame did you make it level or did you give it some pitch(one side little higher than the other)? i have a few of those drains laying around i use the rings off of them to secure the fittings on the bottom of my buckets(DWC). does the threads stick up a little high leaving some standing water in the bottom? if so have you thought about adding some air wands to utilize the depth to airate more solution for your roots? it looks like the bottom has a little deeper part to it an extention on those drains to make it say 2" deep would be perfect for the air wands. which would most likely give you a little better growth rate overall. just my $.02. again, looks great!

Peace,
Paul

cool setup man..........

i,m also using some gutters. , but i,m not doing hydro....
its more for holding the planting bags in position and to catch the excess water that runs out the bottom...

soon i,ll do a hydro.........

I use a gutter along the outskirts of my table to make use of the light that would normally go to waste. My table is 9' x 4' and is located against the back wall of a 10' x 10' room. I have the same type of gutter running around the outside of the table on 3 sides with tall/lanky sativas. The plants never weigh in to much weight, but if they weren't there the light would end up getting wasted. My gutter usually yields me about 3-4 oz of dried weight per harvest. Has about 30 or so plants in it. The whole gutter system is angled so the water flows from the top and goes down along the gutter to the drain.

What a way to come up with something from your head. Great job with that system. Plus rep added.

I've seen this before....... and I'm not saying that in a bad way but rather just amazed that I saw this once about 6 years ago in the PNW. Guy was growing with coco in vinyl gutter sections in a basement.

Back then I had no idea what the hell he was doing, I didn't understand hydro, coco, ebb & flow...... only dirt.

Now it all makes sense........ nice work!!

:respect: :respect:

Nice and clean.... im concidering something simmilar for my other room.

Will be checkin to see the end result.

Good luck,
Ray
