Gun ownership in medical/legal states illegal?

Phazer, Forget the 3d printer BS and cost. Just go to a gun shop that sells 80% polymer AR lowers, get one and carefully grind it out with a dremel tool. You can buy them online but a cash purchase is always better. Metal ones are available but you will need a drill press to hollow it out. You will also need a lower parts kit . Then go buy the upper of your choice. Easy Peasy no license no paperwork.
only problem with these is that you cannot "legally" sell it or transfer ownership to anyone else in any way. although, i'd like to know how they enforce that. how can the Feds tell WHO finished that 80% receiver on the rifle? hmmmm....

I live in the country, would probably take the sheriff 30 minutes to mosey over here. So I said fuck it, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Went full on gun nut. All legal guns, some made on 80% lowers. I sleep much better knowing I can defend myself against anything (except cops!)

My two cents on bear spray. I gave my mom a can, and was showing her how to use it, and inadvertently nudged the trigger. Just a teeny little "sst" for maybe a half a second.

I could almost certainly receive a MMJ license but until laws change drastically I won't be doing so. When I fill out the FFL form... I check "NO".

In California, sometimes communities will coordinate & have a non-Cannabis user & gun-slinger to join the tribe.
Pretty much to deal with that situation.

you COULD beat someone to death with a gun, but ball-peen hammers are much better suited to the task at hand...
but you are right, someones hand has to grip that hammer/squeeze that trigger. too many folks want to ignore that & place the blame on the tool used.

But that wouldn't be self-defense ... if you got them duct-taped to a chair.
So when it comes to home defense, I guess it all starts with knocking out the home invader. Shutting and locking a few doors, and dropping a pound of dry ice in the home invader space ... be a start.
It's inevitable that people will improvise, especially in California, where your access to guns is limited, but you can buy a 100 kW radar amplifier at a mil-surp auction, for cheap !!

Just because you have a legal medical card does not mean that you are an illegal *user* or *addicted" to MJ. You could be on the list because you grow it for cancer patients.
Most bureaucrats cannot differentiate the difference, sadly.
