there's no such as the b# right? it's liek a joke or something? I confused that with c# i guess. idk. ice cream
there are times that you would use a B# (like the C# scale)

If the scale called for a D, such as in the F# scale, you would use C#.

but if the scale called for a C, like in the Ab scale, you would use Db.

its all a way of simplifying (lol) for the musicians that are reading sheet music. but it really doesnt matter how you write it. you can even have a double flat note, or a double sharp. a lot of jazz and contemporary sheet music can come out looking like an abstract painting.

btw, i got a D in music theory.
