Guerilla growing on foot

I live in northern ireland, about 2 miles from the irish border. I have some previous convictions for drugs offences, so I am planning on doing a small grow just over the border.
I have no access to a car and I dont want to ask anyone for a lift as I dont want anyone to know about my grow.
So i will be walking about 2 miles down country roads to the spot.
Can anyone give me any tips on doing a small grow, (approx 10 auto plants) with minimal equipment that I can carry on foot?
Would it be better to bring a bag of soil or just try to make the best of what is available at the spot?

Plenty of info on here. Read all you can.
Best to use whats available in the area. Just do some exploring and report back with what you find. Is there decent soil, swamp, peat bogs there is an answer to all if your ingenious.
best of luck and may all your buds be Huge.

Peace GG

The site is on a south east facing slope, the elevation is about 150m, there is a reservoir next to it and it is covered in thick bushes and thorns. I will take a walk up there when the weather is better and check out the soil.

I did a mountain bike grow once a few miles from where I live.
You should have seen me at harvest time. I had a small cooler
on one handle bar and a backpack full of fresh green buds as
well. Now imagine riding thru town passing pedestrians while
some of them turn back to see you go by.

I just know at least one of them knew exactly what I was hauling.

Next time, I'll ride at night with less people on the sidewalks. LOLZ

Go for it Mouts, can be done for sure.
Also up North and close enough to the border, but i have the luxury of a car.
Few tips i`d recommend.soil types here vary a lot.
If your spot is bogland,or has loads of heather and windbushes and them spikey reeds, then you`re gonna hav`ta carry in some soil.for 10 autos i`d use maybe 2 20 ltr bags.2 trips 20 ltr in a rucksack each time.mix it with some from your spot.big raised bed.plant.
But if theres stinging nettles you`re sorted.cut back.dig hole as wide as your hand and loosen up the soil in as deep as you can(10+ inches if poss. ) and plant your little autos.
Once over the border, everybody in them wee houses you pass are all in community alert groups, and very nosey.so no hoody up,wave at cars that pass, say hello etc...look nerdy.:)cut a walking stick.
only risks are carryin the wee seedlings in,and bringing out any buds.
Only problem really is our weather.out of 5 trys-only 2 good success stories, fingers crossed for sunny days.

Thick bushes and thorns probably tells you most of what you need to know. The soil is decent.
Clear a spot or for better camo, several small spots that get good light. Add a 10-10-10 or similar fertilizer and either sow direct when it is warm enough or start indoors in a 2 inch pot if you can for better survival rate and plant out after 2 weeks.
Be very careful with transplants as autos can be very sensitive and may not recover well.
This is not the best way, but will give you a decent harvest with little work and exposure.
keep visits to a minimum.

Peace GG

If all you plant is 10 plants. I would put no more than 5 plants in two spots.
Putting all your eggs in one basket sucks should anyone find them. If you do
bring a bag of soil with you. Mix it 50/50 with the native soil and that will get
you going even better.

If there's nice trees around search under them for the nice thin layer topsoil
that they sometimes have. An hour scraping the top inch under the leaf layer
can get you some nice soil at times. The cool thing it's already there with no
long hauling required.

Good Luck

Haha i once grew a plant in the middle of town on a riverbank. I got stopped by the cops once on my way out of the bushes after going to feed it at night. I told them i was going for a piss and they let me go lol.

First, make sure the site is at least slightly elevated or on a slope. If it's in a dip it may be prone to waterlogging, and you could loose a large part or all of your crop.

Definitely try crawling into the center of the thorny stuff, at least 8-10 feet in - the more impenetrable it is, the better the chance that it won't be discovered.

When you've hacked a crawl-trail in (wear heavy cloths - you'll probably still get scratched to pieces, which is good - most will not dare), take a soil sample to test back at home, and dig down a couple of feet to see what is down there. Once you've done all that get back here and let us know what you find so people can post suggestions as to what amendments to use.

Whatever your soil you'll probably want stuff like seaweed meal, fish/blood/bone, and chicken manure pellets. Probably some garden lime too.

You'll have to hack/dig out a large area of the thorn bushes out, and likely control anything that sprouts back during the growing season - a fair bit of work, but it should pay off well at the end.

I would dig 1-2 ft diameter holes that are 1.5-2 ft deep, and 4-6 ft between hole centers.

Take binocs + notepad/pencil with you and if stopped say you're bird watching. Learn a little about birds, so you can start talking about them long enough to bore the shit out of someone that stops you and they will probably quickly let you on your way.

Have you thought about strains yet?

I am thinking of getting a mixed pack of 10 auto fems either from buddha seeds or sweet seeds, or maybe something from hybrids from hell.

I was thinking that if i use autos, i wouldnt have to dig as much because they have a small root system, so i wouldnt have to carry as much soil.

Also, i live on the outskirts of a city and i will be walking at least 2 or 3 miles to get across the border so i cant carry anything too obvious looking. I will probably have to fit everything in a backpack.

I took a walk to the spot the other day and i dont think ill be able to use that exact place as there seemed to be too much activity in the area. I am still looking on google maps to try and find somewhere suitable in the local area. Ill have another look up there tomorrow.

Gotta be hard in a small country to find a spot. I live in the states and it's hard to find a spot (Midwest). I did a small grow and biked in and back. Even walked out a few times. It was at least 5 miles one way. Hurt my ankle at the spot and had a hard time getting back. I did get a ride about a mile of the 5. Packed in coco husk bricks, nutrients, tents, pot to boil clean water to drink, and used local rotten tree humus. Ended up abandoning the grow and town and came back in November. There were buds and the indica plants weren't even wilting. All the thin leaf plants were wilting. Got a crappy harvest due to lack of taking care of them. Just did a mix in of ferts and top dressing. Would love to do better but it's hard without a car and freaky breaking the law anymore.

Im thinking of using 10l compost bags with some coco mixed in and I might just plant the seeds directly in the bags.
I have used a 10l bucket outdoors before and the plant only wilted once over the whole summer but ive heard bags dry out faster than pots. Will 10l bags hold enough moisture?

Just dig a hole in the ground and plant.

Inground is always the best outdoors.

I know but i cant walk to the spot with any obvious tools, ill have to keep everything in a backpack. I wont be able to dig big holes with a hand trowel and i need to be in and out pretty quickly.

I have used a small axe to do this that I put in my backpack.
An axe can dig holes fast once you get used to it. Bye bye
any roots in that get in your way. The back end can hit rocks.
Try it and you will be amazed. Having small scoop with you
as well helps.
