Guerilla Gold #2 - A5 Haze Breeding (+ others)

A5 S1 - has the small NL trichs but with a Dutch old school nose upfront and old pine box/incense bottom end. Quite similar to the BA#75 but slightly less sweet and more organic. She’d likely go 90 +\- days from clone with size large buds.

Stoked to try the hybrid with GG2, the old school acrid seasoning, pine, old orange peel smells should mingle perfectly with the haze, no doubt weed from yester-year. Not to mention the extreme vigor and earlyness on the male..

Astonishingly the intention of the sativa hybrids has seemed to work. The Nevilles, A5, BA75, KA5H & Panama males are in varying stages of pre-flower/early flower here at 45N. The male seems to be true breeding for early trigger. Although my two nevilles x GG2 are both males I do have confirmed females of the rest outdoors. Some females are preflowering heavily.

Two Neville’s Haze x GG2 males and an A5 Haze x GG2 female that looks to be starting to cluster up.

Everything is and has been flowering for a bit now. Panama x GG2 will finish the earliest of the sativas mid-late September perhaps A5 S1 x GG2 and KA5H haze pheno x GG2 will be latest. Although I would say they should finish mid October if weather graces us here at 45N, with a couple earlier phenos of each.

Couldn’t be more pleased with the project really. There are a few minor sacrifices for the early trigger of the GG2 which incredibly was quite true breeding, amazing to see such long flowering sativa plants trigger so early while still remaining 50% pure sativa and the mothers charm remaining.

The GG2 is quite dominant in structure and leaf shape, and shows much more sativa features once hybridized. This is similar to the other very early semi-auto I have worked with. Perhaps distant relatives.

We had a terrible end of summer/early fall. Lots of over cast and humidity. Started getting leaf rust mid summer and got so bad it turned into botrytis. by the time the nice weather came around it was too late for most.

some GG2 x A5Haze photos from 3rd/4thweek of September. The GG2 turned out to be a great breeder. The mother shines through in most crosses, knocking off a 2-3 weeks on most strains and more on the hazes. The majority haze hybrids would probably go to Oct.10-15th, with some of the KA5H being earlier, and the heavy haze phenos of A5 S1/ BA#75 could be a touch later.

the Panama cross made some wonderfully terpinolene /spicy resinous buds. It suffered from leaf rust bad but would finish inside September here at 45N.

Very nice little project. Haven't seen Guerrilla Gold in many years. The GG2 X GG2 brings back many memories of UDG. I'm glad you are keeping this strain alive. If memory serves KRK is the guy who has all the seed stock from the old UDG ( Unleash da Green).

I will be very interested in the smoke report on the strains you crossed.

Thanks guy,

The GG2 is a stellar breeder, the GG3 I wasn’t impressed by as much, but the GG2xGG5 is a wonderful early hash plant.

Due to leaf rust, insects and subsequently mold the haze and Panama crosses couldn’t finish up all the way, even though they would of finished inside the first half of October which is absolutely absurd and not to mention my exact breeding goal along with having dominant mother traits.

The BA#75 GG2 showed a couple phenos in which mango became present during cure.

BA75 & A5 GG2 crosses have a pine/old box/herbal/spicy smell from haze side.

It is apparent that these are cut early, smoke is smooth, the buds are resinous and the high is very clear and energizing, as one wishes to find in sativa cultivars.

Working on breedings with GG2 x MOB/Blueberry back to MOB/BB and F2’s among other crosses with this dad, like Bubblegum S1, Bubblegum x Mendo Purps etc.
Some CSI stuff to try out.

Also If I have time A5 x GG2 F2’s and A5GG2 x BA75, A5GG2 x Neville’s HazeGG2 and A5GG2 x Chem D / Chem 91. They’re potted up if I get to it at least.

Hows the potency on the GG2 X A5 like? 3rd week of Sept. is right in the sweet spot for me. Before deer season and right as all the fall rains start. Whoops looks like I read that wrong 2nd week of Oct finish correct? Still early for A5 cross.

If the potency is good sounds like a winner winner chicken dinner you have there.

Whats your favorite GG2 cross so far?

It’s not overwhelming with a 3rd week of September cut as anything would be cut a few weeks early. But I feel like a full finish would be stellar, thinking F2’s of A5 GG2 would be Pandora’s box in all the right ways, no fruitiness all savoury and spice, should be the biggest potential for semi-auto trait in the most haze expression in this line. Just takes diggin’.

I like the GG2 x MOB/BB in terms of well rounded plant that ticks all the boxes very well. that one I’m back crossing to clone. The mob/BB clone grows like a kush small hard resin covered buds on a slightly stretch frame with lots of berry/jam smell/flavour., late September finish. and tested 24% thc outdoors (not that it matters). The hybrid with GG2 was killer, finished mid September and more vigorous and a bit more larger open bud style. Lots of nice pinks, purples and every combination with green in there as well. High hopes for BX.

I want to hear more about that leaf rust. I have it on lower leaves in a tent. Is it from too much humidity?
Do you use LEDs? You may be experiencing a PH issue/lockout or deficiency in cal or mag? I’ve gotten this growing under LED’s and was not fungal to my knowledge.

I am under LEDs, and a lack of cal-mag was NOT the issue. I have no clue, but the 'rust' you show is the biggest deficiency I have had so far on this run. The plant grew through it.

A lot of people suggest mostly mag for LED's, like epsom salts. It's a bit superficial with LED's, But feeding them heavily helps clear it up in my experience. The leaf rust was more notable on other plants and also affected trees and native weeds/plants in the area. Beyond knowing it referred to as rust I don't know much more then that.
