growtent GOOD experiences

since i recently bought a new growtent, the HTG brand, i am trying to make myself feel better  about the occassional yellowing of plants problems associated with the tents. this thread is NOT about who has negatives to say about them but i want to hear all the positives. i understand, that with the hydro brand huts, they blame a material used in white inside vinly, which i think all brand huts have. honestly i don't see how this would yellow a plant, providing u have ample air movement and ventilation. i will not be using mine for another month, i already have together and unzipped and open airing it out...
anyway i saw some nice pics of grows w/ tents. alot more positives than negatives, if u love your tent and have had success, please let us hear and which brand u use. thanks. :joint:

I purchased a HTG Supply Grow Tent and love it. This tent is the 36x20x64 variety. I'm running a 400W CMH in a cool tube, temps staying around 70 degrees 25% RH with a 6" inline fan and carbon scrubber. It has been 3 weeks now and no problems. Even thought it has 2 5" openings the 6" flex duct fits through these ports and make a light proof seal.

Iv had my homebox for 2 years now with no complaints, I plan on buying two more in the next coming year so needless to say I love my homebox.

keep the positive comments and pics comin... :jump:
....wonder why some grow tents have plant yellowing problems and some don't...was it mostly the hydrohut brands w/ yellowing problems...?

i had 2 hydrohuts a 39x39 that killed everything in it and this 52x52 which has been kick ass from the start. Both were hydrohut brand and both were purchased from the same shop.. very strange.

imho if they're yellowing after 4 weeks of 12/12 then it's a nutrient issue. The fact that your plants made it 4 weeks into 12/12 would rule out the hut.

nice pics, and i don't see how u could have no success w/ 1, but good success in a slightly larger. everything else was same but sizes...?

yeah they appeared to be identical besides for the size of the tent.
Anything i put in that tent whether it was a seedling, an established plant or just a house plant just kinda stopped growing and yellowed. Once taken out they'd start growing again.
temps, humidity, lighting in that small tent were absolutely fine for what i was doing.. very odd for sure.

Maybe that smaller tent was manufactured somewhere else who knows. It cost me a bunch of seed and about 3 months of trying everything before i finally figured out it was the tent.

Vin............I believe 99.9% that HTG's tent are in fact made in the US, I never heard a problem about their tents, as you said only the Hyd. Huts

just talked to HTG, they are NOT made in USA. he was not sure where they were made, but he did say not USA.

I WONDER IF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD PROBLEMS W/ TENTS (YELLOWING), IF THEY THREW SEEDS OR CLONES RIGHT IN AFTER ASSEMBLING TENT...CUZ THEY SURE DO STINK LIKE CHEMICALS WHEN NEW. I'VE HAD MINE AIRING OUT ABOUT A MONTH NOW, AND SMELL ALMOST GONE. I START NEXT WEEK...

thats cuz u have a homebox made of PE;), not PVC.
the ones w/ PVC, like HH, HTG, etc, stink like chemicals when new. like i said though, i have had mine airing out, and really doesn't smell but a tiny hint now. i am getting my 250CMH mon and will run in there and heat it up alittle, then wipe down w/ green cure (potassium bicarbonate), which supposedely neatralizes chlorine gas. just taking all precautions. then i will run my exhaust fans all week before planting seedlings around next thurs...:):):):)
i also think people that have problems, 1) threw plants right in right after assembing tent when new and stinky, and 2) use high heat lamps and/or not enough exhaust/air circulation.

pvc is bad for you? lol are you eating it?

i had a pvc jacket, lots of pluming is pvc too. i understand it could be bad for you but how would you ingest pvc?

from what i understand the issue with the tents is that they are heating up and giving of a gas. this gas is killing plants. the smell shouldn't have anything to do with it.
