Now that's a sweet selection of seeds! Some really interesting crosses in there.

Panama takes about 10 weeks or so from pistils so I think your estimate is exactly right. I'm not familiar with PPH but seeing as it is 50% OTH my guess is that it might take a little longer. Of course, it all depends on the conditions, speaking of which...

Sorry to hear about the crickets. Hopefully it was just the one that you found. Sounds like it had certainly been eating so possibly so. The girls on the other hand look a little hungry. It might just be the yellowish light in the pictures though, and none of my business even really..

Yeah, I can't wait to get down to business with all the African genetics. But I can't wait to get down to business with anything Ace really....

I actually didn't realize that Purple Haze # 23 was synonymous with OTH. Interesting! I've seen multiple people highlight OTH as their Ace favorite, so that can't hurt.

My nutrient levels are definitely your business :) I created the log for input since I'm completely new to landraces; I'm here to learn! I'm running nutrients a bit lower then recommended since the dosage schemas are not designed for landraces and I'd rather stay at the lower end as long as long as it is sufficient rather than go too high and damage the plants, but I'll try and up it a bit.

A couple of flower pics. I haven’t included Wild Thailand for a while, but as you can see there’s nothing landrace about those buds. Panama is looking chunky, whereas PPH looks landrace-ish, but dense.

I’m very paranoid about bud rot and have been eyeing this area on the Panama for some days that felt soft and had a large concentration of dark hairs. While it didn’t look moldy as such, I’m fairly sure I had rot and had to remove the area and some buds around it that felt similarly soft. Fingers crossed for no more of these discoveries.

All good things must come to an end and that includes Panama. The fan leaves started dying the last couple of weeks. Not dropping off but just becoming increasingly more dry untill they completely dried out and fell apart on touching. While this is obviously not good, I’ve been holding out for as long as possible to let the buds mature, but since most of the hairs had turned brown and we’re in week 10 I decided it was the right time.

For PPH there’s no end in sight. The extensive flowering mean that the branches can’t support themselves anymore. Probably the most productive plant I’ve grown. Despite the purple ancestry the plants look fairly ordinary, but the trichomes themselves look almost silvery. Very curious to see how long this one takes.

I’ve been doing some panama trimming the last couple of days. I’ve never smelled buds like this before. It smells very rubbery in a not so pleasant way, but you also get some floral and hashy notes.

I’ve been up close with the PPH and it looks like it’s getting there too. The pistols are still white in general, so I’ll wait for as long it takes for them to start maturing.

This thing is such a beast. Straight spears of buds. Also I totally get now what people mean when they describe a landrace as smelling like carrots.

Last man standing - PPH. Branches can’t stay upright and most fan leaves have dried up or turned teælow. I don’t think we’re there just yet, but I will probably have to chop soon.

First Ace grow DONE :groupwave: It’s been very interesting to grow these landraces and I’m very happy with both the yield and the lack of bud rot. It seems like both plants just kinda died at the end, before the trichomes matured as much as I wanted them to, but I’m not sure what went wrong.

The curing process of panama is about done. For a while it was smeling pleasant and citrusy, but now it seems like the final smell has a bit of rubber again. PPH smells very floral and pleasant so far and the buds are completely different from anything I’ve ever smoked before, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it smokes.

Hi Fawcett, congrats on your harvest, glad you are enjoying some :)
Thank you so much for supporting our work again during our last website sales.

I must apologize for not chime in earlier :( I'm having difficulties to follow all the content of the forum after the website update.
I'm guessing the problems probably came from very high temps, lack of proper ventilation, too high levels of nutrients with too high ph if i'm not wrong. Do you think these growing variables were out of tune during the grow ?

No problems, my man, I'm just happy to get any input from the big ACE boss himself. As you can see I'm not too good at keep up with my own thread either ;)

I've been adjusting the fert pH to 6-6.5.
I have a desk fan that was initially pointed at the plants (mainly Wild Thailand and Tropicanna Haze), but since they seemed to didn't like it, I pointed it towards the wall of the tent instead.
Temps have been at around 24 degrees during flower, but they have probably gone quite a bit lower at night. I suspect the plants might have been a bit rootbound. I vegged for a fairly long time and my buckets are 12 liters. At the time of harvest the roots had reached the bottom and sides of the pot, so it is possible that I should have upgraded to larger pots during the grow.
