Growing Upside Down- Topsy Turvey Tomato Planter

Cannabis grows just fine right side up and so do tomatoes. I know my tomato plants are much bigger than the ones on that commercial, but that's because I give them a good growing environment and avoid as-seen-on-tv marketing gimmicks.

it would be nice to walk in to a room and see a bunch of huge nuggs hanging there like grapes on a vine. Some one needs to do this.

I've grown tomatoes upside down and my yields using that method ALWAYS far exceed any other growing method.

What i wanna know is how the roots and the stem know to grow in the opposite direction?
Daemon, do you have pics of the root balls by chance? I'm guessing not or you prob would have posted them but since you say you've done this can you share some more info on how your tomato plants react differently from being grown the normal way? Fertilizer wise ive always heard tomato plants and mj plants aren't that different so I'm curious to say the least.

maybe just do a FLIP/LST ? think of the rootball in a cup. then bend the stalk down and put a larger cup upside down over the smaller one, and keep the light above the plant. it will grow up, i'm betting. [to illustrate one possible method of upside down]

however i watched the little commercial on the site, and it shows them putting a plant in - perhaps a 6-8" plant, and it seems the bottom of the thing makes contact and seal somehow with the stalk of the plant.

Will NOT work.....it only works for vine plants,cukes,zukes,tomato.....ANYTHING else will turn toward the sun making being upside down stupid.
Besides that...to what end?whats the purpose of trying to grow a mj plant upside down, yield?saving space?Just doesnt make sense.

With any vine type flower or plant, root and plant direction dont matter.

Sorry if im taking over this thread with my questions, but it was dead anyway and started a long time ago to be honest. That'd be one way of doing it nekoloving, but i actually don't want to do it, i just wanna know how the plant will react to being upside down and everything growing the opposite way. I'm also very interested in the effect an "Omega Garden" would have on mj plants.
