anyone do it? i mean growing in a "secret" underground area just for MJ?

id love to see pics or hear some stories of different underground jobs:woohoo: ive been dreaming of a couple empty (preferably new) large septic tanks buried about 6-10 feet down with an underground walkway (ok, tunnel) leading to an inconspicuous entrance somewhere close by. into a basement would be ideal.

done before? good idea? i am just posting my thots today since i need to get to 50 posts to be allowed at the cool table...

I posted about this a while back and the general consenus is this is pretty complicated. Even burying a couple shipping containers requires a bit of work. Shipping containers are reinforced at the corners and such but the actual walls and such are not super strong when considering the amount of load from dirt on the side and top. You have water tables and such to consider, venting, fresh air etc.

Septic tanks seem like they would be stronger since thats their job, to get buried. However a round tank does not sound like an ideal place to grow

hey guys, ive thought about this before and the biggest security issue would be hiding the entrance and the air intake /exaust.

but, you could easily hide them if you use a small pond as cover.

right above the underground room, you build a koi pond with an island in the middle, cut a hole in the pond liner where the island is, and run 2' dia. pipe through it down to the septic tank, the topside will be sticking up just a few inches above the surface of the island and then cover the entrance with a large lightweight fake rock, that can be easily opened.

you could put in a few stepping stones that you will walk on to get to the island. open the rock/hatch and shimmy down the ladder and disapear.

the entrance hatch/fake rock could also serve as your intake/exaust - with an opening on the backside that would be concealed with stratigically placed water plants or driftwood.

and dont forget to put in a fountain to cover the sound of you're exaust.

people will be too interested in you're fishy's and wont notice anything else.

i do believe he is correct sir..

as far as your underground op goes...check this out..TN Pot Cave

then why are guys with hundreds of posts having the same trouble? there was enuf bitching abut the 50 post limit, and i cant see any reason to go to 70??? where did you hear this? i havent seen it mentioned

anyway, thanks for the link. that is def the way to do an underground. just start with a cave thats already there:woohoo:

septic tanks come in some pretty large sizes, and are quick and easy to install....especially when u have a backhoe... they come up to 20' diameter (in 2 halves) and 12' tall. thats quite a space...ive set the pump in one almost that big, and its quite cavernous

You have to be cognizant of the water table and the degree to which the ground in your area becomes saturated during the rainy season. Empty septic tanks are very buoyant and can float right out of the ground if they aren't buried deep enough or don't have enough weight in them.

hahaha here shows the total ignorance of the police:

Potentially, this find will make some sort of impact on the amount of drugs available on the street."

that farm isnt even a drop in the bucket.... but it sure is neat to see. wonder how many thousands of other places there are out there like that, not getting caught:woohoo:

:yoinks: THIS FUCKING DICK HEAD WAS CAUGHT CAUSE HE WAS STEALING POWER? :noway:

What an ass hole! He obviously wasn't a member of any forum. He clearly could have retired from this an old man if he was using solar panels.

Thanks for the link, never seen that video before.
The cave looked alot bigger in the pictures I've seen, the video really clears that up.
I found the guys comments pretty funny, clearly has no idea about growing. I wouldn't call that an advanced setup by far, more like very basic setup.

I'm sure there are quite a few of us on this forum that could cram 10x more plants in there and yield tons more then they did. What a waste of power, it's like he was using a 1000Watt light to grow half a pound... not just stealing power, but wasting the hell out of it. For that he deserved to be caught! ;)
