It may not be perfect and as cheap as others but this ph pen is a paper weight next to it when using distilled or R/O

NEVER put a wet bulb pH meter in distilled or RO water! You run the risk of trashing the instrument.

Remember that pH is not a function of the water itself but rather the acidity of the materials dissolved IN the water. If there's nothing but water, there's nothing to give it a pH value.

Some say that pure water is pH 7 but this is misleading; pH 7 is neutral. Pure water is not really "neutral" as much as it's "absent."

Therefore, don't bother messing with the pH value of distilled or RO water, because the pH probe needs something dissolved in the water to keep the osmotic pressure in line.

It's recommended to use a storage solution or the pH 4.0 calibration solution to store the probe in. Read the instructions that came with it.

My bad I had typed Advanced Nutrients in that paragraph I have no idea where it went, and now I can understand why you think I was trying to pH Ro or distilled. But neither of those would have calibrated to 5.9 which is probably why you are talking about calibrating Solutions as well. I calibrated my tool, I just don't ever use it because I don't need to. I broke it out for fun

My favorite of the 2 so far.. now I can see more of the rhino's heritage popping out with the finger spread on some fans. However the leaf TIPS and edges remind me more of the bbs1 and so does smell.

Here's was the dirty earthy smelling plant. Now has fruity chemical smell for the most part. Both plants have very similar structures . All I've taken from them are the main fans and the bottom 2 bud sites from each branch.

I run ebb and flood and RDWC, both of which need to have their pH and EC checked regularly. I use a BlueLab Combo meter. It's well worn; I've had it for many years.

My favorite child of the the crossed plants is the front right..I also love the fact I only had to take a few of the lower fans off and a few lower bud sites. Seems like a very easy plant to maintain and get good airflow. The plant next to it is very similar in that way too. Mom is a thick ass bush that needs training but she pays big as you can see. Keep in mind my front 2 are only half gallon fabrics

While it is amazing I won't be keeping any of these children. Should hopefully get a few seeds off each from the backcross though. The more plants I keep the less I can grow out from seed and i have a shit ton to route through. Its going to take forever. . I've only grown a few seeds out.....
I'm feeling good about how the rest will turn out by the percentages I'm seeing so far. Not a guarantee but probable.

There's a few very reputable people on this forum who still have s1 seeds from the exact same genetic paring my seed came from. I'm not going to say who they are because they may not want everyone knowing or bothering them, but I found out publicly. You could easily find it . Or maybe now they will find you ;)

Well I do hope they find me here. Blueberry was a favorite back in the day and responded well to the kind of vertical growing I did.
