Hello brothers and sisters, I am back at it! I got some Seeds Mafia autos (2x Red AK, 1x Girl Scout Cookies, 1 x Purple Kush) that were germinated about a month ago and were put under a older Mars Hydro TS3000 light and pretty much left to grow till 2 days ago when I finally had time to install a tent and my new Mars Hydro FC-E 4800 smart led light. I also installed a 6 inch fan with speed control and a fresh carbon filter. Soon I will also add 2 UR45 light bars for UV and IR supplementation, which I hope to get more info on how to use from @Mars Hydro Led , since it's first time I am using them.
The bigger plants that were germinated 1 week earlier than the rest seem to show a small deficiency, which could be from keeping them a bit too close to the leds till now. Just a few leaves have it, so I hope it's ok and will get fixed as I start to feed them flower nutes. They only received a bit of veg nutes since germination, and were transplanted into the buckets you see in the pics around 10 days ago.
Now enaugh with the talk, some pictures:

Thank you @Gypsy Nirvana, they are doing well given it's not much time and care they received till now. Should be going better from now on.
Forgot to say the light is around 30 cm away and dimmed to 50% now. Temps are steady in the 23 to 27C range, humidity around 60% most of the time.
Plant placement is:
RAK2 ; PK (back row)
GSC ; RAK1 (front row)
They are all autos from @Seeds Mafia.

We'll see how they fare. :smoke: This is our recommended usage of UR45, you can use it as a reference.

I have a few sets of the uv45 add on bars and a couple grows under them now. Unless you have a lot of time to hang around your tent switching uv and ir on and off to get the MH recommended exposure you'll have to reach a compromise that works for you. I started out running them with main light schedule and saw no damage from overexposure to either uv or ir...but!....the plants will start to lean toward the add on bars big time. I ended up running them with main light schedule but shutting off every 2 hours for 1 hour and get the benefits without the hassle and without having to camp out by my tent. Hit me up if you have any questions about my experience with them.

Thank you for your input, @driver77 . I can probably modify the unit a bit to be able to switch them independently in an automated way, but plan was to find some midground to either be able to use both at a time on a timer or maybe use just IR for this grow, then see what I decide for next one. Would 1 hour after lights on and 1 hour before lights off work for both on at same time? I am happy to learn from a guy that has more experience running the unit.

Here's what I ran into....if you just run ir you'll get too much stretch. Together they work in harmony.I ran into no problems with running them too much other than plants all started growing toward them. Not necessary to run them before or after main light. Be prepared for accelerated growth and need for nutes the more you run them....in my 12 hour tent they run for 8 hours...in the 18 hr tent they run around 12...thats with a fc8000...less main light will require less uv/ir time to keep plants from pointing at them, it will be obvious lol. Splitting the control to operate ir or uv on independent timer is tricky...you'll see why when you get them....and again my experience is no need to run independently.

Thank you for visiting, bro! Please grab a beer, too! :joint:
@Mars Hydro Led …I’m getting very close to pulling the trigger & experimenting with one of your lights …
Thanks for checking my thread. Mars makes good lights, I like the brightness of the new light and plants seem to like it very well. I wonder if the newer lights have different spectrum than older ones, cause they seem a bit more "white-ish", and my eyes perceive that as more power/brighteness than before. Also seems I can keep plants closer without them getting fussy.

Hello, @Mitsuharu , thank you for joining in!
I transplanted them a bit late and they are autos. The buckets were sized more for regular plants, and for a bigger tent, which I will do next round. But I am happy with their progress, given the grow wasn't so hands on till I started the thread.
The soil is a mix of coco and organic soil premix, with a bit of added perlite, quite fluffy.

We also really appreciate your previous thread, where there were interesting attempts and discussions that ended up with good results. :huggy:

Today's update:
Left the soil mix to dry a bit more than I should have, but I now watered them and they will be back on their feet in no time.

I also installed the UV/IR led bars and will soon put them on a timer (once I find the timer).
See you guys and gals soon!

I think I’m interested in something like this to start with.. we had talked about this previously :sneaky: i’m just trying to tie up some loose ends inside and out. “FC/FC-E4800 is suitable for 4*4”
