Didn't see it in the sticky at the top, but for those of us that have never grown from clone, after you transplant these babies into a soil medium, normally how many hours/days does it take for them to perk back up?
I can imagine they get quite a shock from this, so I figured 2 days, but they still dont look very healthy, even the ones I was super super extra careful with on the roots...
they are under about 50 watts of mixed spectrum CFL (1 warm bulb, one cool), about 4inches away on average... I only watered them once after i transplanted into the soil, that was nearly 48 hours ago and they still look horrible
Having never grown from clone before I dont know if I should be worried, I have seen lots of plants looks bad a day or two after transplanting them the first time, but they never seemed this bad, and plus these girls are so young, and like i said...first time growing from clone.
On the positive side, almost all of them have nearly a perfect nice green leaf left at the minimum, the rest are just wilted way too much.... I thought maybe overwattered, but I just gave them enough were it only dripped out the bottom of 2/6 containers, however all of them got enough water as I could tell from the weight...the only other issue I could possible think of was the lack of additional perlite in the mix, (its about 60% store brand "organic" soil, and 40% seed starting mix *mostly peat moss, with a bit of soil and perlite)...before anyways asks why no per/verm. Well because I didn't get home that night until after the local home depot/lowes/walmart closed, the clones couldn't go in the fridge for certain reasons, and I have started seeds/grown whole plants without additional perlite and never had issues, just made sure the soil didnt get too compacted, which it isnt? And I plan on adding in 1/3 perlite to the mix of soil when I transplant them whenever they are ready...was hoping for 2 weeks, but dunno now?
EDIT: there WAS No thermometer in here, because I am an idiot and it was probably about a hundred degrees for the first 24 hours of their lifes...
On the positive side its also only Saturday! I need to get back to walmart for some more of the cool white CFL's, for those of you that need them, walmart has 2 packs of 26w's that put out 1600 lumens for 6 bucks, as in 3 bucks a bulb. These same bulbs at home depot or lowes are $6 each still, they dont even have double packs...(only the cool spectrum, you can get the warm spectrum for cheap anywhere i think) Just don't proceed to drop and break both of them right when you get home like my dumbass did :/
will post some pics of the girls tomorrow if they dont get better and I fix up there space...enjoy the weekend everyone, while it looks shiatty out, make the most of the time inside...or go run some errands or something, I know I have plenty to do...I had a late fucking night last night, and a very long week, so I have been pretty slow on getting moving today...but we're getting there. I also just realized i have some good water hash left from two really cool people , so I shall get into that, and then get going to the stores.
EDIT: I just thought of something, I forgot its dry as fuck here, (in addition to my first time growing from clone, its also my first time in this climate, which is totally different from the last place i lived and grew all my babies)
Would this cause them to do so bad? I'll go get a temp. guage with humidty later today, i didnt even think about humidity because i never had to deal with it before. In the meantime I put a nice open thing of water in with them...
