I remember a buddy growing out GDP outside in cali...he said it turned out nice but I don't remember the finish date...not too late I don't think. Definatley heard of tw doing well outside as well. I can't remember exactly who but have seen outdoor tw grows in cali.

I believe your right around the same lat. as me if I remember correctly so I'm not sure if any elites would finish in this latitude. I think Hot Cargo did a couple deisel and schrom or ECSD outside and got them to finish...with great results right around 43* I think.

Babbas have done a good amount of elites outside as well check out their thread.

I think Trainwreck would make a killer outdoor plant..

thats what i've been hearing and seeing!

any other elites anyone has tried outdoors?

from what i've been hearing tw gets done anywhere from late sept to late oct...quite a range but maybe different cuts or weather has a factor....i've been hearing reports of 1lb per plant though....1lb of dank sounds great!

As stated above, check out the Babba's outdoor grow from last year. They grew out an OG Kush bush that should give you some inspiration...

I did Purple urkle OD last year. I did it in a greenhouse and was disappointed with the yield. I'm growing it indoors right now it looks like a different plant. It finished about the end of sept. begining of Oct. I recommend that if you do grow urkle OD give it as much direct sun as possible. It seems to due better under intense light.

thanks for the babba links...i remember following them a little bit.

H&L- that will be sweet...can't wait to see you do some outdoor.

garlic city gro- thats the kinda info i was hoping on hearing man...good job

chief- everyone that has grown tw outdoors that i have talked to say they got arould 1lb per plant....i'm sure they will be stopping in shortly to confirm it.

jojajico- grow some or smoke some and you'll see why they are called "elite" plus the only way to get them is in clone form so they are "elite" unless u got a hook up. there are alot of strains in seed form that could be considered "elite" imo though....i've smoked some strains that ranked right up there with the "elites".

so the fact that you can only get them via clones makes the elite??
The reason why they are clones is beacause someone grew a great plant and cloned it to keep the exact copy of that plant. If you had lots of space and some time you could find many elite plants in seed form but it will take some serching. Typically all plants are good in seed form but elites are those few plants that stand above and beyond the rest. Hope that helps.
