Hello folk's, I'm just finishing a crop and starting another crop so it's a good time to start a diary and share some pics of my current crop.

I've prepared pots for new seeds to go in so hopefully I'll get that done today, tbh they should've been started a few weeks back so they coincide with my crop drying just as they're revealing their sex, it's still a work in progress.

Thanks guys I appreciate your comments 👍

I'm just finished potting 20 seeds 8 fem and 12 regular to ensure I've enough females for a crop, ideally 12 plants but I've some wiggle room either way.

I've also got spare plants handy to put in at a moments notice so everything is going to be cool.

1 plant of 2 from the same pot.

I potted seeds last week not one has broke the surface yet besides the odd root?
I've obviously done something wrong 6/7 breeders seeds couldn't or wouldn't fail.

I'm going to flower clones if I don't see any action from seeds in the next day or two.

Nice looking buds, they did well with a short veg.

Sorry to hear about the seeds. Sometimes it happens. Had a pack of DP Charlotte's Angel be all duds recently, and at the same time and in the same conditions 6 other varieties germinated fine so I'm not willing to take the blame.

So that was a waste of the warmer weather, I got fungus gnats so I put things on hold until they're sorted out.

I've tried mosquito bits h2o2 but they don't eradicate them so I'm trying keeping them bagged, sealed up to keep them in/out, the ones inside that don't get stuck in the moisture film are easy to squish in that corner.

It might look iffy a couple of people have voiced concerns but I can say they're fine.

Pot worms for a example of dark feild microscopy.
I can upload video but if you want to check out run off under a microscope?

Have a nice weekend folk's 👍

Wed/Thurs iirc was the last time I squished gnats (3 between 5 pots) it's looking like sealing the pots is working?

I'll know for certain soon enough though.
20241013_055243.jpg

I kept these gnat infected pouches of coco sealed up afaik they've died off, for reasons idk they don't appear to breed stuck in there?

The yellowing has cleared up and the plants are all looking healthy again.
20241014_214401.jpg

Roots are pouring out the bottom.
20241022_162352.jpg

I've just trimmed them back it was getting a bit crowded.
20241013_055223.jpg

I cloned some bluchi shoots while I was there.
20241021_170010.jpg

I should've taken meticulous notes on the gnat situation I've only a rough guide my times/dates could be off?

2020_0108_174843_026.JPG

Essentially though numbers are non existent atm?

Edit...wed 30th October...1 gnat from the coco pouches, the last of them went in the day I sealed the pots, say a month ±

Edit...
November 9th, I've not seen any in the pots but last week I re potted one of the pouches and put it in a bag.
Since then I've killed 4 gnats inside the bag.
20241107_185152.jpg

idk if they're in the coco I used re potting or in the pouches which I can't see in too well I just assumed they'd be dead based on not seeing any when i opened them?

8th November... I re potted another (kush #1) and put that in a bag to see what happens, I've also put about 0.5ltr of the re potting coco into a separate bag to see if any gnats hatch from it, I've looked closely inside the bag 3x times and not seen any tbh I think it's a but dry but I can rule it out.

Monday 11th...no gnats have hatched out the coco bag therefore the gnats had to have been the pouch and not hatching for 4/5 weeks.

11th...killed another gnat same pot = 5

13th... killed a gnat in the plants I opened up in the bag on Sun... And again none in the bag of re potting coco so I have to conclude they've been the pouches for the past 5ish wks they were not introduced again with infected coco?

Edit...19th and 20th killed goats x2
Edit...27th Nov still getting the odd gnat on killed one yesterday (exo)

Hey folk's
From 2nd October to today is almost 2 months and I'm still killing gnats inside the bags...I'm 99.999% certain they're not getting in the bags they're wound tightly and it's not possible for me to miss all of them, yeh I might miss one or two but not the amount I've killed they're absolutely hatching inside the bags after almost 2 calendar months, that helps explain why they're so fkg difficult to shake.

I started more seeds last night it's a little risky but the gnats are contained so there shouldn't be any problems🤞

I'm soaking blockbuster, gorilla skittles, sumac lemonade, blueberry muffin, slh x rainbow belts and s tangie let's see what happens?

I'm going to pollinate my exo with blockbuster that's going to be very interesting I'm looking forward to them already 😁

Take care folks

Maybe you can get some Nematodes to fight the larvae in the substrate before you sacrifice any more goats.
Fightings insects can get annoying.
Hey bud thank you, tbh If I was to start again I'd give nematodes a try, I didn't expect anything like this long at the start.
I've got them down to a few gnats a weeks but they won't just stop appearing, I keep thinking right that's got to be them now then more frickin appear lol.

I'm going to say another week or two if I'm still catching gnats I'm going to re clone all my mums...
Total pain but what can i do?

Cheers bud
