Sour - take a look at Stank Bros - in that FIRST release - how many "elite" cuts were used as parents?

Carolina Blue - seed find
BKGK - seed find
ChemSour - seed find
Missing Link - seed find
Digi Bx1 (male) - seed find
SSCDH (male) - seed find
Alpha D (male) - seed find
BKGK/Digi (male) - 2 seeds found, bred, then another seed find...

See, I honestly prefer growing from seed - it's more...exciting! The unknown lurking behind that tiger stripped shell...the possibility...I have BAGS of possibility! Infinite solutions...

Keeping an elite or any clone is TIRESOME in my most honest of opinions - they can be lost, killed, become diseased...TAKES UP PLANT COUNT LIKE CRAZY! (mother, plus clones, plus veggers - and sometimes it's all in the name of preservation, you may not really, ultimately CARE for the smoke, but maybe like it's offspring, but you still have to keep this veg maintenance rotation in place to keep healthy stock)

NOT TO MENTION - cuts are often mislabeled. Or cause some sort of ridiculous controversy and people get butt hurt over you sharing or using or posting about or many other types of silliness - and then good/honest friendships are damaged...a plant over humanity - I'm fairly sure that constitutes losing ones way in life, regardless the plant...

Do I really NEED to continue...

My point being, everything has it's ups and downs. I find just as many plants that are JUST AS GOOD - rarely surpass however, what are considered by many as elites. I think the only true benefit of them AT ALL - is you are able to form an accurate opinion, through consensus, of what good cannabis is, ie what is a keeper and what is not. THAT is very helpful to know when sprouting seeds...

You do realize my ChemSis/NL came from 5 seeds and stood the test of time in a few "elite" gardens it would seem. Sure, it's a lottery; but if you never play, you never win!

I have people all the time ask me why i hardly ever have the same thing more than once or twice . Its because i'm poppin seeds to find the Holy Grail & collecting a few "special moms " along the way .

I've got a couple keepers that get put into rotation every 3rd or 4th round cuz they're THAT good . but the rest of the time i'm strain hunting

clones are great and all,im certainly glad to have the glue and cookies for instance,but popping seeds is where its at....i can say from my experience here at ic that many of my all time top ten favorites came from people right here on ic,theres a ton of hidden gems waiting at your friendly neighborhood server fund and small private breeders...

yea I know all about the private breeders, I have been trying to stock up on genetics as much as I can for when I have the time and space...

It's honestly just the fact seeing those plants and hearing the descriptions (GG #4 and GSC) just makes me want them so bad! just to try... but it's ok i doubt I'll ever be lucky enough to come across a clone of either of em so I'll just start popping seeds! Haha

exactly bro, I just don't have the time or space currently, I need something that is no doubt female and dank (no wasted time or space). doing a seed run tends to waste time and space (unless running fem seeds) that sometimes just isn't there to be wasted...

but the rewards waiting to be found are no doubt worth it!

give it a year brah someone will have some kill seeds on the server fund for sure! That GG will take your breath away but like someone said " they came from somewhere" I do feel you though it takes a long while and really sucks when you follow it to the end and you end up disapointed which is usually the case.

Grass always looks greener. Cuts or seeds like df said clones are a lot of work to keep happy and alive your always in a state of cloning lol. I quess the bottom line is a mix of both seeds and cuts real is the way to go. Nothing wrong with smoking that elite cut while looking through those seeds. PP.
