You are a ninja with those bamboo stakes! Can't believe how wide you get the Bubba and Sour Bubble bushes. Is it looking like you will be beating your SB run numbers?
major respect PK. absolutely top notch growing and you answer everyones questions to the best of your ability...your a class act dude...keep doin what you do...you do it really really well!
must get some BOG!
have you ran the SourBoggle yet?
thanks for sharing your vast knowledge and crazy hard work,,,
This will all be very very helpful. I'm just starting my first crop, indoor. Framing a giant cabinet out of my closet. Dude......just Resource after resource all throughout this thread! THANK YOU.
Hey all, SUPER busy of late, but I wanted to get an update in on the katsu bubba kush. I will be back soon to respond to everyone I have not yet responded to and also get some more updates in. Took a vacation and I have to bust ass to go and bust ass when I get back, being spring doesn't help either plenty to do around here.
Anyways the katsu turned out great, broke my yield record overall. However on paper Sour Bubble will out produce the katsu on a yearly basis and the katsu requires way to much work as far as twisty tie and bamboo goes, so I don't think I will be running her again in the big room but I am still working with her in other forms. I averaged 11.46/per plant this run, which is awesome. I was hoping for a bit more to make it worth the 10 week flower she would have had to average 12.08/plant at the bar minimum. I take my overall yield and divide it by weeks in flower, the katsu gave me 1.72 units per week while sour bubble averages 1.81. Overall the katsu won but in the long run sour bubble will come out ahead. I think if done over I would come closer to the bubble weekly output but again comparatively in terms of work sour bubble needs much less with her rock hard structure.
Next up in the big room is bogglegum, the birthmarked "two faced" grape bubbletape pheno. Highly energetic weed, great for the gym, spring cleaning, or any other 9 projects at once to keep you satisfied. Shit is crazy, I warn people...Soon as the doobie goes out all of a sudden you decide to start spring and fall cleaning all at once.
The taste is insane, when done right it translates from smell into flavor better then almost anything. You can hide a grape roach in a roach blunt the size of a house and when you burn that single grape calyx you will know it. She bushed out like crazy, is a very light green color, has a cal/mag addiction as far as I can tell, loves to yellow very early, is finished in 52-56 days. Slightly problematic plant and it has been a while, she just likes to ugly up and it always freaks me out but the buds come out sweet. Slow veg, fastest rooter on this side of the Mississippi. Only bud I have ever gotten bud rot indoors with, very swollen dense nugs.
After that I am thinking of letting chemD have a go at impressing me. I LOVE the smoke, basically I can't get enough. Right now today I have the OG/Chem room once again on day 70 so I will start trimming soon. Still burping the damn katsu....The other flip flop room has sour bubble in it and will finish up in a couple weeks. Going in to the flip flops will be king louie OG in one room and ECSD in the other.
All three seed projects have recently come down, I made a good amount of katsu bubba kush bx1 seeds, also made sour katsu f2's (Katsu bubba Kush x sour bubble bx4), and Sour Bubble x SFVOGK reversed. I already have katsu bx1 seeds on their second node and working towards testing and making bx2. I plan to crack some Sour Bubble x SFV ASAP. Also I plan to reverse the ghost og next and hit it on my sour bubble mama.
Oh before I forget, so far the aptus has not impressed me at all. I have been strictly following the extreme feed schedule on both the og/chem and sour bubble rooms. The plants do look happy, and the smoke still needs to be tested and final numbers tallied, but visually I am not impressed thus far. Not saying it isn't great, just from this small test on a dialed in setup and strain nothing visual saying holy shit my buds blew up.
Right now between 5 harvest this month, production and seeds, I am working on building a chicken coop, putting in my first veggie garden, spring cleaning, opening the pool, landscaping, and many other projects. With summer coming I imagine I will update a little less, summers here are short and you got to get out and take advantage of it while it is here! Fishing, riding the seadoo's, camping, boating, grilling, chillin by the pool in the hammock, here I come!
Here is the katsu on day 70, and also some harvest shots taken at 72-74 days:
Here is me behind a katsu, this one measured at it's widest points all around was 9ft10" around.
Man your an animal! they look way bigger with you standing behind them(nice hat by the way, lol)
ME an Pk blazed Amsterdam up! Hash party with Pk and his wife/girlfriend, J tek and another young lady, OMG how high where we... 12 Hash samples all tested twice! 24 bong hits+! Mostly full melters too) always a pleasure mate.one day I hope to make it to your side of the pond and see how ya'll get down.
....an Dam that Katsu looks amazing. You should definatly run the chem D in the big room, would be mental.#
peace out!
