Cyber9 - The one I grabbed is from Barska on Overstock. It's a stubby, short and somewhat cylinder. Now that I have it, I did some searches for it online, should have done that before I got it. Not that it's bad but it's odd, I can only find a couple references to it on 3-4 sites and the only place that has it is Overstock. Barska's own site has no mention of it. Hte is no contact info address, warranty, ph number or anything tying any company on or in the box,

It works....ok Almost how you'd want.... On WinVista - only video no snapshots. Maybe on WinXP it might take snapshots as there is a button for it for that purpose and WinXP doesn't need a driver to run. I run on WinVista, and I got around the no snapshot issue... with a couple other programs.

Well ICMag patrons days 71 is upon me and I believe it's time to cut one of them. But no, that's not what this update is about. I will be taking photos before and after the chop. Maybe even shots during the trimmin'. Thos picture however will have to come later.

This update is just a little fun I had to day cleaning the house and getting rid of(well almost) extra boxes and clutter. I decided to make a quick DIY Dry Box. Don't know if anyone will be interested in this, but it food for thought.

DIY Dry Box:

Materials - Cardboard Box(Sturdier the better)
Duct Tape(Some Adhesive Equivalent)
String
Washers(Plastic or Metal)
Fan

1) You need a cardboard box - Preferably a longer(Taller) box for multiple levels(racks)
- I used the box that my portable AC was shipped in.

2) If your box has flaps on both ends(Mine did not), then extend all flaps on one end of the box. Use the Duct Tape to tape each flap to each other along the corners of the box. You are basically extending the height of the box.

3) Now on the opposite end of the box, which will become the bottom of you Dry Box, extend the flaps straight down. Use the Duct Tape to tape only 3 of the flaps together along 2 corners. One flap should be left, able to move freely at this time.

4) Since I believe we all intend to have more than 1 drying level. You need to cut an access door.

5) Next I added a little bit of support. You may want to add more depending on you construction as you don't want you flowers droopin' and saggin' in the box. I had some reinforced cardboard corner that also came with the AC. Cut those to size an added them at the top of the box in the front and back.

Just used some more Duct Tape to secure the supports at the top.

6) Now I take the flap that I left mobile on the bottom of the box and secure it with, you guessed it, more Duct Tape in the closed position.

*** I made two versions of the next step, although I only have pictures of the version with string.

7-String) On this step I used some plastic inserts for the holes(You can use plastic or metal washers), to reinforce the hole so the string does not cut through the carboard. I used 4 on each side. Lastly thread string through the holes and secure the string on both ends.

7-Screen) You can take a roll of cloth or plastic screen(the kind used for windows), Cut a square of the screen to fit horizontally in the box like a shelf, you may want to add an inch on all sides as to give yourself a way to fasten it within the box. Repeat for as many levels as you want for drying. Now secure the screen within the box with our trusty Duct Tape or any other suitable means.

Finally slap your Dry Box ina closet put a fan at the bottom and dry bud in no time.

*** As you can see there is no scrubber, so odor will be rampant! If someone wants to take this a step further and add a scrubber to this setup, be my guest! I'm sure I'm not the only one that would be interested. Heck you could just add am Activated Carbon AC Filter to the top and that miiiight be enough.

Let me now what you all think of this.... Too simple or just simple enough. Feed Back is Appreciated!

Trillyen - Coming from you that is a compliment I really appreciate! I've been watchin' you thread since the beginning and you've got some great attention to detail. Saw what you have hangin' also, some gnarly colas and a bunch on green.

As for tonight I just snapped a few before shots of the ladies then some of tonights sacrafice.

On to the show, here's the garden before it was cannibalized. Been on flusha while, have leaves turnin' yellow everywhere and you can difinitely see the purple on the stems and leaves now.

Now here's a few shots of the misses all slim and trimmed!

Oh, and here's 2 shots of the DIY Dry Box in action. I've placed some newspaper beneath the box to catch anything that falls off in there. It all fit in my coat closet minus the coats.

That's all for tonight, gonna see how the other lady looks in about a week.

Trillyen - Well I don't want to stop you from perusing the rest of my grow, but I'll help you out here w/ a bit of info.

The strain that I am lucky to be growing is called Menage a Trois by MOD. A good friend of mine handed those beans to me and he the same guy who got me to finally get on here and show my grow. Heck was even the one who needled me to get back into growing(Thanks Bro!).

The setup is simply what I call blowin' off the dust! Just got my ol' Sun System 430HPS out hung it in the box. Grabbed my 95 CFM Blower, hooked it up to my Carbon Filter(Can't remember the acutal rating). Using a 3'x2' Ebb & Flow Tray w/ a 20 Gal Reservoir.

Nutrients feeding this setup are just Tap Water w/ General Hydroponics(Grow/Micro/Bloom). Fill res, add nutrients, PH the mix, and feed the ladies. That's it, just trying for a solid/baseline setup that I can add and improve upon.

I really like the look of this strain and how it has come out, now I only need to see how the smoke rates, but I do not expect any disappointment. Just have to decide now if I'm keeping 2 phenos or if I have to choose between them. Damn King Solomon!

thanks for the info, and ive never herd of the strain but it looks to be a good yielder, do u know how much u got wet in weight

i got one question for u tho dude...

we are using the same nutes, and just to fill some empty spaces in my DWC (bubble Bucket) i just took 3 clones and put them straight into my flowering room, in just reg tap water, along with 2 rotted ones, would it be ok to go ahead and add nutes now, or should i wait a few days before adding the noots, or at least until the clones root??

they are looking pretty good no wilting seeing as i seperated the rooms kinda, the strain im running now is WHITE WIDOW, but i have all kinda strains growing, and still some seeds on the way

On the way FEM! RED DIESEL, PURPLE BUD, CALIFORNIA ORANGE BUD, FEM! WARLOCK, BRENDAS SKUNK XS NORTHERN LIGHTS, PINK KUSH F4...

already growing... DUTCH PASSION "BLUEBERRY", G-13 XS HAZE PLANT (MALE), LSD, BUBBLE GUM, COLOMBIAN RED, SUPER LEMON HAZE, AND I THINK THATS IT!!!, LOL

so far so good, any way i love ur set up man its nice and clean, looks PRO, what temp does it stay around in ur room, mine is a norm of like 83 to 85, id like to get it cooler

where did u get that ebb and flow tray from

i like it but my bubble bucket is sooo much easier!!!

peace man, thanks for the love dude!!!

Trillyen - Sorry don't know the wet weight as I normally don't weight untill dry. I guess it would help to have something that weights more than an O. So if time permits, I'll pick up a new scale today and I'll see where I'm at currently when I get back.

Looks like I'll have to edit the info I gave out on the tray. Not sure if the tray I have is from them, but I wouldn't doubt it. So for all intense purposes it IS the Bontanicare 2x4 Grow Tray not 2x3 as I said, and I just got it at a non local to SoCal grow store.

Your absolutely right Trillyen those bucket systems are awesome. My 1st grow was in an AquaFarm round bucket system, before everything was called HydroFarm. The rewards from that system received compliments for years.

Ok for clones, I tend to use 1/4 strength nutes untill they recover and have some roots started. From what I read on here many say that even 1/4 strength nute is still a bit more than they use, and I wouldn't use full strength untill some roots grow. Might burn the clone w/ too much in there.

Temps right now are the best they have been for me. Right now w/ the AC I'm able to keep the temp round 72-76 w/ lights off during the day(Hot as a Mofo in Socal!!!) and right about 76-80 w/ the lights on during the night. I've got a decent AC, but I know it is not being used efficiently right now.

some one must be busy trying to get there old lady to dry out for some smoke

is this ur first harvest or what??

Cant wait to hear how much she yielded for u, id say at least 1.8 to 2 OZs, not bad for 1 plant but 4 would be better, thats what i want to try to get, per plant

Yep Trillyen, just waitin' for the ladies to sweat it out a little in the Dry Box. Thanx for keepin' me on my toes. Not my 1st harvest, but 1st on here and 1st run in years.

No pics as of yet, but I'll get a few shots on here when the other lady comes out.

Preliminary result 1st Menage a Trois out of the box, hung dry, stems trimmed and now in jars for a good cure. Before I set in the jars, I gave a little weigh and this one came out just over 3oz. :yoinks: Woo Hoo! Not too shabby. Definitely room for improvement, it can only get better.

Hey all, I have some decisions to make and would like a few opinions. 1 out of 3 plants chopped. The larger of the 2 left is pretty much ready to come out, and I'll likely take her out in the next few days. The last one, the runt, still has another 2 weeks or so. I'm really not expecting to much weight or similar quality as the other 2 as it's been in flush with the others in the middle of her cycle. After the larger lady is out, I was thinking of adding full nutes again and keep nutes on until cut, no flush. What do you think... Worth the nutes/time? Any comments?

wouldn't that make it harsh if you didnt flush? not sure if you would gain a that much with nutes this far in.

Great harvest so far

Tripsick - Thanx for tuning in and giving some feedback!

See normally I agree w/ you everything I've always understood if you leave the nutes in till the end the smoke is usually harsh. I've been reading on diff threads on here that there are a good many who believe that even if nutes are left in.... a good long cure will fix that and ease the harshness. As I see it, I don't think much will come of that lady as it is. So it's either chop and donate it to edibles, oil, or hash or give this a try and if the smoke it harsh...... hmmm donate it to edibles, oil, or hash.
