Used to do this for Brick-weed... LBS... Open the casing one day...
Might be surprised by what you'll see...

I found coffee grinders Over grind and leave a lot of heads behind.

Makes nice hash once scraped though...

I Found 2 or 3 quick zaps worked perfect with minimum loss...

Anyways memories of grinders past... lol

I found the motor of my coffee grinder packed with fine hash dust.

Tasted like oil though so was a waste... Of course that was after a chopping couple lbs easy...




I can grind a ounce of Dense,seed filled buds in about 5 minutes with Old school and lose maybe 3 of 100s of seeds that come out the grind...

My brick weed grind always had seed shell all over the place...lol

latetothegame--One hitters have been my main smoking tool for years, too. Jamming your pipe into ground bud packs easier and burns more consistently IME. Before I got my first grinder I'd cut buds up in a shot glass with some small pointy scissors.

For me, I find that the bowl will burn too hot with ground bud, and therefor tasted bad. Though, the upside is that it's will be easier to smoke and it will get higher faster. I had a friend who used to roll really loose fat joints, he preferred that bang.

I like popping in a single properly dried and cured nug and hitting lightly.

Btw...Have you guys used the Herb Iron yet? It's a ceramic tipped pen for lighting your bowl. I just got one last week. It's THE best hit I've taken to date...

i break down a good 60% of the time with my hands, but I have a plastic grinder and a pollen box.

fuck the 3 stage grinder lol. I dont like unscrewing and taking it apart constantly when half of the bud sometimes gets stuck in the top part.

I shake a half O for 30 secs and have enough keif to last me a week or 2, especially if its on the dry side.

Pollen boxes pay for itself within weeks.

Neither. I use two kitchen sieves, one coarse, one fine. This way there is no chance of even the tiniest bit of stem getting in there to burn hotter. Plus my fingers are sensitive compared to a 'blind' grinder. I most always prefer single hits, with friends they get their own. I realize this is my personal M.O., and to each their own, but when I can get it to just the right amount, not too much, it's awesome and very economical (this from a buyer with limits which are unforgiving). But the taste and effect of my various dusts are fantastic, in the words of Jessica Hahn, "you will be shocked and amazed!".

i only smoke pure joints so i use a metal trich catcher grinder, wait for it to build up then simmer it in hot full fat milk. comes out like it brand new then i make hot chocolate with the milk. sometimes i use scissors instead, i find it gives a different flavour or maybe its just in my head? lol
