Really nice Montumo! I love all the beautiful flowers and fruits in your garden :) I dream of being able to have a longer growing season and to be able to grow some of the beautiful fruits and flowers you have. Here is part of my modest garden...

Muchas gracias, MallardDuck .

Thank you very much, MallardDuck. Likewise, I also wish you and Luna the best ... I don't know if it was Borges or Monterroso who wrote that: "Outside of the dog, the book is probably man's best friend ... Inside the dog, probably it's too dark to read ... ".

... And that's how it was last night (July 7), the Green OldTimers Haze # 19 x A5 Haze (born on June 17), after receiving its first neem oil spray.
He spends his days outside, and his nights on a porch, until he is the right size and has absorbed "enough" neem to transplant it into its final hole in mother earth in "the kennel"...
Right now, my little space outside to cultivate ("the kennel"), is a macro-festival of clouds of small grasshoppers, red spiders, armies of ants, and the occasional locust ...

As you can see, the tips of the leaflets already touch the ground:

And this is what it looks like today (July 8), in full sun: The local State Meteorology Agency, AEMet, foresees that on my North slope we will reach the 44-45 ° C maximum temperature in the shade on the weekend (and almost 50 ° C, 122 ° F, on the South slope), but so far it is (or was) having a very pleasant summer without barely exceeding 40 ° C ... The night-time minimums are oscillating between 17 and 25 ° C, and the ambient humidity between 10 and 60 ℅ ...

This past weekend it was as if there had been a direct jet wind tunnel from the interior of the Sahara ... The sky was a silver-orange color, and the Sun was covered by a cloud / mass of desert dust that was flying at great speed. height towards the north ... (where it has fallen, it has made an artificial beach ...). Without a great solar intensity due to the dust sky, with the fiery south wind we reached 44 ° C in the shade (112 ° F), with a night between 25 and 30 ° C (77 and 86 ° F), with a "humidity" of 10% ... ... A lot of flowers have dried, especially the delicate and ephemeral magnolias ... They have only survived ...:

Of course, the Green OldTimers Haze # 19 x A5 Haze endured the "African Beast" like a champion ... Today the breeze comes fresh from the West and the far Atlantic, and the temperatures dropped below 40 ° C. And this morning, he had a visitor who even started weaving a cloth, I think ...:

Hola Montuno, glad she survived the heat wave :)
Here it arrived on Monday mid day but fortunately was not so strong or long like the previous one.

Hola Montuno, glad she survived the heat wave :)
Here it arrived on Monday mid day but fortunately was not so strong or long like the previous one.

... Now seriously, Dubi, if the plant (less than a month old) has not been cooked / roasted during July, it is because it had the pot on a basin with its blue plastic basin always filled with water ( without touching the pot: cooling by evaporation); And still I put it in the shade between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ... If the roots were not cooked ... Another thing would have been that it was in mother earth, or in a pot much larger and more protected from direct solar radiation impact ...

... So yesterday at dusk, in the absence of 3 days to reach one month of age, I transplanted it to its definitive hole in mother earth ... I hope it has absorbed enough neem, because the small fenced space that I have to plant is infected of clouds of tiny grasshoppers, waiting for "good green" with which to grow ...
It is a rectangle of land about 7 meters long by 2-2'5 meters wide (aprox) in wich are four holes that I dug about two decades ago, flled with organically fertilized soil. Every season, I just add compost and tree wood ashes. This year in particular, at the end of winter (the date when the pictures are) I added compost to the holes: (I usually use mixed manure of horses, sheep and goat, which I collect from the field; but this year in particular I have not been able, and I use chicken ... We will see how everything turns out, because it is very strong ...):

(El video de los buitres es de primavera, cuando toda las hierbas aun estaban verdes;
La foto si es de hace pocos dias;
Ningun@ es mi@).

... The countryside around me, right now, looks like the African savannah in the dry season, with the animals sheltering under the mediterranean oak trees and the vultures flying in
circling in the sky ...
(The video of the vultures is from spring, when all the grasses were still green;
The photo is from a few weeks ago;
None of them is mine).
