Good evening to you all.

Well yesterday we had a fuck of a storm go over!

All the plants survived but the Zac T was a little top heavy this morning but still perfectly intact; She's very short and stocky and has a net supporting her to some extent.

Virtually all the pistils turned brown over night!

From Sunday we are forecast 5 days of heavy rain and in light of this and the fact that more worm damage is appearing daily we decided to chop!

Yes, she could have gone a little longer, but I'd sooner have her as she is, rather than risk 5 days of mountain storms.

Here she is half chopped.

And a couple of the tops.

She was really easy to harvest and took us no time at all (Both as high as kites on cob, of course!).

Good sized buds for a Sat and very sticky. I have a nice little 2g ball of scissor hash.

we gave all the buds a 3 bucket wash and now it's hanging dry.

I very pleasantly surprised at how much we cropped off of her.

There's a fair few cobs there!

I shall do a couple of different drying times.

I'm very excited!

Really nice @Hombre del mont!

Have you done the bucket wash before? Did you use lemon juice/bicarbonate in the first bucket? What are your thought?

@lemonade

Thank you.

Yes I did it last year for the first time and yes I did lemon juice and bicarb in the first bucket.

It's amazing how much crap comes off the weed and how dirty the first bucket gets. little worms and all kinds of crap.

Under the microscope I can't detect any damage .

I wouldn't eat stuff straight from the garden without washing it, the same applies to weed.

Interesting! Thanks for the info @Hombre del mont. (y)

I think I'm gonna try it on some of my outdoor this year. Maybe a side my side to compare! :)

As a (mostly) indoor grower it just feels “wrong” to dunk my buds in buckets of water, after all that time running dehums to keep RH down.

But I also have to acknowledge my outdoor doesn't seem to be hurt by a good rain, as long as it dries off relatively soon, and isn’t a monsoon etc.

The first bucket gets really dirty!

Just make sure you dry them well after the dunking.

Shake them really well and the have a fan moving the air for 12hrs or so until you get them dry on the surface again.

Then just dry a normal.:)

Good call and very nice work, @Hombre del mont, and congratulations to a killer first harvest!

So, one lemon/bicarbonate bucket, and two buckets of water for the dunking?
Probably worth trying, even for indoor plants.
You could try it on indoor grown weed, especialy if it's been sprayed durring growing or has insects on it, but otherwise I probably wouldn't bother.

Been a busy fall so far and I have not put much attention into my plants. But it isn't exactly like I'm low on herb, hehe....so here are my two Mountain Gold's. I kept them small and just up potted last week. One is a skinny budsicle without branching which I always think is kind of cool but never get plants that look like this. :D

The aromas are starting to come on. This plant smells like ripening musk melon! So sweet and delicious. Yum!

Actually my ZTs we're quite a bit stockier now that I think about it. This plant has a lot skinnier stems and more sativa type stretch. I'm so stoked about the Budsicle plant though...that aroma is making me swoon. Tropical melon, musk and spicy vanilla. If I was a cat would want to roll in it, hehe. :)

Mountain Gold x Oldtimer’s Haze

This is a friends garden this year @ 36N. They were the very first to receive these seeds. An amazing living soil grower.

Did the Purple Mexican Heirlooms make it to fruition VM? If so, any further findings as far as terpene profiles?
Yes she did! Purple Michoacan almost got trashed but I got a wonderful smoke report today. There is very little fragrance but very mild pine and just a hint of citrus, again very mild almost not very noticeable. But she is of very good upbeat potency.
I made seed of Michoacan X self and also I bred her into my Oaxacan Gold purple line. Could be very interesting as a pure Mexican cross.
Bellow pics of harvested Michoacan.
