Three gates.

Rattle steaks.

Looking great.

Just wondering if you have a veggie garden too?

Thank you for stopping by littleleaf. I do not currently, although i do have a few cherry tomatoe plants i just transplanted from a family members house and a decent selection of heirloom veggie seeds i will be germinating shortly. The cannabis veggies are obviously #1 priority for me. I have no clue what im doing with a vegetable so should be interesting....

Dep canopy is really filling in, looks great.

We ran a lavendar clone indoors almost a decade ago, was truely great. Was very similar to purple urkle/gdp but better!

Curious if you have your full term babies outside all night, or if your using some sort of shelter for them?

This old timer kept nagging me about planting the seed starts earlier. Was planning to plant on May 1st, but ended up plugging in a couple rows on March 20th. Was going to plug everything, but noticed a little cold snap coming our way, so gonna wait till its over to plug the rest. Suppose to drop to down 35, making me a little nervous.

Anyways, nice garden looks great and good luck on the season.

Medresearcher, thank you for stopping by! Anything resembling urkle or gdp, the look and the smell, flies off the shelves for me....so that is a great thing! I like this lav cut, it is my first time running her.

I built a little mini shelter for the babies with t-posts and goat fencing (4"x4" squares). It allows me to cover them with shade cloth on gnarly sunny hot days while transitioning as well as throwing plastic over them if need be. I try to acclimate them as good as possible because in the sierras this weather can get crazy real quick. A couple cold nights coming, mid 30s like you said and im not sure if i will bring them inside or keep them out. Theyve been outside for 3 weeks or so now, day and night but the cold is what bothers them the most.

Your seed starts are already in their full term homes? Thats early! You will have some monsters. Im going to transplant them one more time into 3 or 5 gallon pots, get them nice and rooted before putting into full term homes sometime between may 10-june 1st. We shall see!! Hope that helped a little, not sure if i answered your question though.

The lavender we ran was originally sourced from the Humboldt coast, I assumed it was a distant cousin of Purple Urkle, was really fantastic. Probably in my top 10 strains I lost that I miss. Had large fan leaves, long and wide but not crazy wide. Sort of short, but not to short!

We plugged full term last year on May 15th turned out well. Besides being nagged by this old timer, main reason I wanted to plug earlier was to try to prevent the roots from circling the pots. We started the seeds a week later this year in 1 gallons, then transplanted to 5s in a hoop house. Only took 3 days from transplant and the roots were coming out of the 5's though. Every day now I just imagine the roots going in circles instead of spreading out.

Think next year were gonna hoop the full term trenchs, so we can plant early and not loose sleep over cold snaps!

Maybe I can build some sort of make shift pop on shelter, yours sounds very useful.

What genetics are you running full term?

Mr^^

That is some very quick root growth from the 1s to the 5s, nice work! Im a little confused on what you say about the roots circing instead of spreading out. In my experience, the roots spreading through the pots are based on water techniques....essentially keeping them a little thirsty so they spread throughout before really blasting them with water through the whole pot

Full term genetics:

Seeds i made
Sfv og x afgoo
Lake tahoe og x afgoo

Other seeds made in sacramento

Yum

Cuttings:

Super glue (gorilla glue 4 x gelato)
Sfv og
Tahoe og
Presidential og

Clearly ogs dominate what i run. That is because of my customers. They want the stinky dank strains, and it all flies off the shelves.

Hit the babies with some aloe vera water. Trying to get these things nice and filled out before i plant in 400 gallon planters for full term. Have some in 5 gallons and most in 1 gallon pots....will be transplanting the 1s shortly.

Looking great! Love the pics..

Lavender was one of the first strains I grew 12 years ago. Also had the urkle but I personally liked the lav better. Also one of my favorite strains. .. My old neighbor gave subcooll the urkle to make querkle with..

That's some cool little bit of herb history, thx for sharing!! I'd like an urkle cutting, the smell alone makes that stuff disappear for me

Crazy storm brewing where i am at, at the start of the foothills. Lots of thunder and wind so far, i hate wind. Wind and hoops are not friendly towards one another. In fact, they are mortal enemies.

Lot of mixing ahead of me. Just starting to acquire the amendments. Decent amount of stuff on order and should arrive within next week. Starts are looking good, all 1.5-2ft. Cant wait to plant, will be plugging 400 gallon planters in a few weeks, sometime between 15th-june 1st.
