Great mexican weed - post your mexican "middies" experiences

OK, I managed to borrow a camera for the night, so here's a few quickies of the girls - sorry for the dark shots, but it's late, and I can't figure out how to switch the flash on...

So - pheno #1 - the purple-stemmed pheno, though the stems are growing so fast now they've gone green, but I expect the purple will return when they stop stretching. This is the 'DJ Short pheno', if you like, and the leaves clearly show similarities to some Flo and F13 posted here. This plant was seriously bent and tied down tonight, and so is a little 'splayed' - I couldn't get it all in the pic easily:



Pheno #2 is all green, and has longer and thinner leaves, and looks a little more classically sativa - a bit more 'droop' to them too:



This plant was tied down a couple of nights ago, and has straightened up now, but they'll both need re-bending in a day or two. But they're both extremely healthy, with shiny leaves, and the first buds beginning to form. Beautiful...

I've got hree batches of Mexican bagseed a friend in the US saved for me, he says one is an indica, one is definitely old school sativa and the other he is unsure about.

just some shots from the unfinished mexi bag seed that I grew out last summer that got ripped a week before harvest.

there were 2 sets of 2 plants. with about 3-4 weeks left in flower the spears were just starting to develop and I was hoping to pull a quap per plant with the 4+ foot long spears per plant on some of them plus amzaing natural side branching.

the side branching wasn't as prolific early in veg, but the small foot long side branches took off and stretched to 2-3 feet long as budding started.







some random purpling on one of the buds with a few weeks left to go. Could have developed more, but i don't know.

I got a question. Just because you got seeds from a compressed brick why does that automatically make it a mexi strain? couldn't it almost be anything? Although I agree most brick is from mexi. i mean im sure not all shwag or middies is mex.

mexi is easier to say than 'something that got shipped through AZ' (and most likely came from mex or a mex run op in the usa) and most people seem to understand the generally accepted, even if innacurate, reference

at least thats why I use it.

I should not and is not done here.We have lots of brick in my state but its more likely some one compressed ther outdoor harvest into blocks.Mexi seem to equal sativa strains of some kind of genetic's.I got mine from a friend that got his herbs from texas.He also told me not to grow the seeds.He said whould be shit weed or die.So grew 40seeds from that 1lb of mexi i had.One caught my girl friends eye and she told me she was purple(key word she)Well she was right,from her growth she seem to be from some where near the equator beacuse till flowering was induced she did not grow.She was around 6 inches when she threw pistils and now she is 3feet9inches.I whould say 99%of allthe herbs in my state are grew in the states.Good?though.Was kinda thinking the samething.peace

weed is actually a psychedelic, i guess you guys just have too high of a tolerance to trip off of it.

its not hallucinogenic, but its definitely a psychedelic.

I haven't gotten a true 100% sativa from any bag seeds in a few years. Ive grow a few handfuls from many different bags over the years and they are definitely hybrids or mostly indica!!

I'd also like to say that i've been getting some 'zona mids that is, in my opinion, White Widow x Skunk #1.....probably bought in bulk from Nirvana.

They have you indoor growers running scared now, i think. They've got it all.....decent high, great taste, no burn, properly dried, just not the bag appeal.

I get ounces of it for 90-100. You can't beat the value, it stomps mud holes in beasters.....WAAAY better than the bobo schwag most people associate with mexico.

No psychedelic with this stuff....just a good all around stone. It's all i'll buy when im not in my own product.

I only wish i kept all the seeds i have come across through the years. You all are doing some wonderful things with the middies. I would buy a sack just for some seeds but i dont even know where to get the low ends anymore.

haha i dont know where you are, but im in the south for sure, and i just go to any apartment complex and pull what we call a "hey mister," as in asking the right looking people. works for me all the time for schwag, cuz im not down with paying $70+ for an eighth (i know, ridiculous) and i havent harvested my first grow yet. been smokin schwag for years, who cares, roll it in a blunt, its all good haha! and i HAVE tripped off some schwag bud a couple times, so i know what theyre sayin, its real man.

For you guys talking about it's not all mexi. You are well correct. I try to tell people that all of the time. If your not on the gulf coast or connected to mexico there is as much chance it's from somewhere else as mexico.

All these $300 an ounce outdoor we buy you know? the stuff that makes up half the KB in the US? comes from cali and bc and appalachia, and anywheresville US.

Well the lower branches. They don't just throw them away. And they're not worth grade A bud price. So they are collected and bricked and sold as schwag. There is a ton of that stuff every year. Just because it's bricked and brown doesn't mean mexico. It's one of the main reasons people get open bract leafy stemmy weed and they think it's sativa. It's really low branches of domestic indica and they get confused when they grow them.

Your right..... Im in Canada... and the only weed that can be purcahsed in my area is old ass brown crap.... thats why I grow
