Excellent research Storm Crow :rasta: ... When I was a child we moved to Puerto Rico to live on my grand parents farm for about a year. They grew everything there, pineapples, bananas, spinach you name it. However, I always remembered seeing these bottles of rubbing alcohol with this funny looking green plant in it. Whenever I asked about it my mother would tell me it was to help stop pain in their joints. Later, when I got a little older I discovered the truth. My grandmother had a marijuana patch which she would use for arthritis pain. Just thought I would share my first association MMJ. :joint:

HOLY FUCK Storm Crow, you are fucking amazing!!! I wish the general public was that informed, then there would be no way growing it would be a problem.

We should start compiling a strain list and their known specifics of what symptoms they treat....cuz some strains make my back actually hurt, some make me have more ADHD...but then some just take me into the zone and I can concentrate well and some enhance my workouts. That would be cool if there was a definitive list.

I might try and start on that...tomorrow. If you want to start it or if there is a list, please tell.

EDIT: there seems to be some sort of list, but it's scattered throughout posts, I will get this done either tonight or tomorrow.

Southpaw, thank you for the confirmation of the "folk medicine" use. There are always questions about the topical use of cannabis and your "research" seems to confirm it's efficacy. Grandma wouldn't have kept using it if it didn't work!

Glad you liked it! Usually I would wait til New Years, but I'm adding a bit now because of the timeliness of the subject. You've all read about MRSA, that "unkillable" bacteria that folks pick up in the hospitals and jails! Antibiotics won't touch it!

Well, guess what kills MRSA, friends and neighbors!

A needless tragedy?......

A needless tragedy?......

Local High School Student Dies From MRSA
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A Philadelphia public high school student died earlier this week of a confirmed case of MRSA, the school district announced.

Saalen Jones, a senior at Martin Luther King High, passed away Tuesday at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Jones, 17, was a cornerback for the Martin Luther King football team. It was not immediately known how Jones was exposed to the bacteria. (snipped)

In light of the previous post's articles articles....... :fsu:

Could all of you (in the Phili area, especially), send those studies and articles where you think they could do some good? Coaches, reporters, doctors, etc. That poor boy shouldn't have died.

We have something that apparently stops MRSA in it's tracks- and the government won't let us use it! How wrong can you get?

Rest in peace Saalen.

Hey Granny.....

I just found out of a new study that says that stimulation of the CB1 and CB2 receptors (with cannabinoids, of course, within cannabis) may stop or prohibit the advancement of the degenerative properties (don't know if I said that right) of MS. I just cant find a good link to it. Maybe you could help me with that info? I will keep trying. The study took, or maybe the paper was published, in Sept. in the UK, I believe. I read it a bit on the NORML site, and tried to find it on the National MS site, however they dont advertise much about cannabiniod therapy.

I think that with MS, and all the unknowns about it, this is HUGE. Not to mention that it hits pretty close to home with my family.

BIG kudos to you on this list, I have used it and tell people about it, I wish more people listened. Someday, right?

Peace and good health, with cannabiniods, of course......
