Ya once you try it you can't forget it. Anyway i've heard rooted clones are available at certain downtown clubs. The dispensary I visit specilizes in the GDP and they have clones but they never have GDP clones. I hear it's picky as hell on nutes and only 1 in 3 turn purple without help.

This is exactly what I'm smoking right now.

My opinion, and it's just an opinion, is this has no big bud in it. It is similar to the urkle though.

Mendo Purps is NOT related to the Urkle/Grandaddy it is a sweet mexican x purple afghani

i got my clones from a friend of mine who i am sure has the real deal stuff...so :woohoo: for me

the grandaddy definately has big bud in it

it is purple urkle x big bud. people need to get over their stigmas about big bud...the real oldschool big bud was some pretty damn good stuff...

fwiw the grape ape seems to be a sister to the grandaddy(urkle x big bud) where the grandaddy seems to lean more on the big bud side with teh urkle quality grow wise where as the grape is more on teh urkle side of the growth with the grandaddy structure and speed smaller in size and leafier...with a grape candy taste instead of funky grapes

Im about 6-7 days away from cutting a crop of Grape Ape-its by far my favorite of the purples that Ive smoked in the Emerald triangle...but for personal smoke I still prefer OG, or Bubba.

Here's all the dispensary strains you can't get
Grandaddy purple
rock candy
goofy grape
primetime
purple urkle
purple monkey balls

These are killer med strains you can't find much info about at all. Some clubs carry clones and some are said to carry the GDP - but seeds, no way. I do update my latest pick ups quite often if you know where to look. At least I take some nice photos.

i also got the GDP from a generouse grower. but i traded for some of my g-sus. i hope i get mine to root! they look sweet in all the pics i've seen, but i hear horrible stories about problems with rooting in this strain.
