grafting question

Hey everybody! I'm new to this board and growing, so I have a question. What would happen if one tried to graft a cannabis plant that was in vegetative state onto the well developed root system of another cannabis plant that was just harvested? I've read that the grafted plant keeps its characteristics and not the roots. Would this save any time?

Thanks

I am no expert, but I don't see how this would save time, and I would imagine would greatly increase your chances of a hermi due to all the stress put on the plant.
But it would be an interesting experiment
Welcome aboard btw

maybe someday...

maybe someday...

hmm... I don't even know how to do a graft but maybe someday i'll give it a try. Unless somebody has a for sure reason why it would'nt work? Thanks for the welcome!

I suspect the most obvious place where you might do this....

is with male rootstock and a female graft.....

I discount the hermi potential....

after all cuttings would be similarly 'stressful' and they dont hermie.....

at least with a mother plant that didnt hermie and went thru harvest.....
