dont let the f*ckers emasculate you the way they have to us this side of the pond,theres a reason your classed as citizens and we are subjects support the NRA.i just dont see any criminals,ex military or rendecks ever freely handing over their weapons . just aint gonna happen. too many guns here already. if you never made another gun it dont matter.theres already plenty to be had. i aint even slightly worried about a ban on guns. it aint happening in my lifetime.

Guns are not going anywhere. There are hundreds of millions of the them that are legal, and just as many that are not. The gun lobby, ammo lobby, hunting lobby and the NRA are large, powerful organizations that spend tons of money to keep guns flowing.
On top of that plenty of gun owners believe in the same thing the Spartans told the Persians at Thermopylae: Come and take them. They also believe they have a right, god given or not, to protect themselves, their family, and their property.
A lot of the reactionary legislation that appears after a shooting, big or small, falls apart in the House and doesn't even make it to the Senate. Lets not forget all the lobbying money from the above special interest groups. That is a big factor.
If anyone even knew the real number of working Kalashnikov rifles that are still in good working order, it would break your mind.

i think they are trying to portray guns in the hands of average americans in a different light that is for sure,, but i think the game plan is much more complicated than trying to get your guns off you..

you americans seem to fiercely defend your right to bear arms... and when the batman thing happened it seemed that some of you thought that MORE guns was the answer.
to me as an ignorant onlooker it just seems very obvious.
lots of easily available guns in america = lots of people get shot in america
and the more times you get a mass shooting, the more likely it is likely to happen again and again.
yeah i know the canadians have loads of guns too but not so many people getting shot.. can't tell you why that is.

1st step register all guns and make laws allowing only certain types of firearms to the public. put lots of shit on tv making it look like having a gun is illegal, but also stupid and no use. they want the general public to think guns are only for cops or criminals. they harp and harp on every little accident or tragedy, while never ever reporting on all the lives and property that is saved thanks to citizens with guns. all attention is focused only on the potential mishaps, rather then how many robberies are avoided, how many rapes and murders are stopped due to the victim having a gun and in most cases only needing to show that gun to save themselves.
it's like all the series on tv and stuff want you to think being a good little victim and just hoping you will not get killed before the cops arrive is the only sensible politically correct way to behave. as if it makes any kind of logical sense to allow only the criminals and cops to be armed. when self defense is the ultimate human right.

Guns will NEVER be banned! But the false fear that they might plays right into the hands of the weapons makers. Only dummies and suckers think guns will be banned. The more guns available, the cheaper the are, the more gun violence there will be. There were 19 firearms related deaths in Chicago last Thursday, and they were not heavily covered by the media.

The "Global Gun Ban Programme" meetings conviened, at the U.N. headquarters in N.Y.C., THIS MORNING. Yes, our friends in Austrailia and England have some very poignant input on this issue, as they have watched that freedom disappear. I think any oppressor or potential controller would rather face an un-armed victum, just quadruples the odds of success. There is a real, relentless, formidable enemy of the Second Amendment out there, and in order for them to accomplish their goals (other than firarms related ) WE MUST BE DISARMED!!! Over MY dead body.
