Will this stuff actually get RID of PM instead of just putting a bandaid on the problem so to speak? I know that the greencure I'm using got rid of signs of the PM for 2-3 weeks but now that I'm about to harvest I'm seeing it pop up again on some plants. I also have 3 little baby clones in a separate area where one is starting to show signs of it already. I have PM all around my house on various ground cover stuff on the lawn outside and this summer has been an unusually wet and rainy one for where I'm at in Colorado. I NEVER us chemicals on my plants but this has me entertaining the thought of using Eagle 20. Do systemic diseases require systemic chemicals? I've never had any issues with PM to date in the 5 or so years of growing until now. Do y'all think that this PM issue will go away or at least not be as prevalent as time goes on, summer turns to fall, temps get colder and humidity drops again?

I'd like to hit the littluns with the green cure but I know it would likely fry them @ 1 tblspn/gallon. 10% milk solution? Is ATAK really the bees knees over greencure?

3 good soaks in a week at week 5 and i didnt see it again, chopped at week 9, i have plants in bloom now and still no sign of it, i have nothing to do with this company but will sing its praises as you have no idea how much it saved my ass!!

edt.. ive aslo been using their overgrow on some cuts i had rooting , this has atak in and it shows no burning and cuts love the stuff

well I do know the fella who makes it but that has no bearing on anything I say - the whole OPTIC FOLIAR range speaks for itself. SWITCH is f'ing awesome, overgrow is superb and ATAK works brilliantly

Im curious, did you have good results with SWITCH, I tried it and it threw my jacks cleaner II's off bad. Flowered early and weird. Have you ever had this experience? Other strains seemed to handle it well. The Overgrow is some good stuff! Im going to head to Way to Grow today to stock up on dirt, Ill grab a bottle of this ATAK if they have it.

yeah I have great results with switch - as you say it makes em flower early which I like and which is the main reason i use it, tho it was designed to prevent hermies

Thank you guys.
Going to order ATAK ready-to-use (I found the concentrate but not their mixer)

Would you guys (Guy Fawkes or Sativa Breather) be able to tell me how you soak your flowering plants then get them to dry without rotting?
I live in the PNW in a cold house and a cold grow (250 watts)

#edit- I clicked on the optic foliar hyperlink at monstergardens and found their whole line, including transport

ATAK sems to work, so far...

As a follow up to my previous post...

So I could not find the ATAK anywhere locally but followed the link posted here to Monster Gardens and week or so later I have product in hand.

I did not have any transport, although it is available locally and I will be picking it up for use today; instead I used Yucca Extract as my wetting agent.

As you see I have "conveniently" caught a case of PM in my small greenhouse, Note to self, stop accepting clones from other people!!

I applied at the 10mL per quart dilution ration, i.e. 40 mL for the 1 gallon I used. Also, I used 30 mL of yucca extract per the 1 gallon

An hour later, no mildew, plants looking great. I sprayed during the daylight as suggested with no problem.

Went ahead and hit my indoor plants also this morning as a preventative using the 5mL per quart/20mL per gallon dilution ration with 22.5 mL of yucca extract, I will reapply on Wednesday or Thursday of next week and post back additional info. So far though the plants seem to be responding very well both indoors and out!!

Oh and the Yucca is the T and J Food Grade Organic Stuff

Nice, glad to hear it worked! Let us know if it comes back!
If those pictures were all the PM that was presenting, I doubt you got them on those plants as clones, otherwise it'd have present itself much ealier. It is the time of year when powdery mildew starts hitting ag crops outdoors. If you haven't seen PM up till this point, the spores were probably airborn, or brought in on your clothes from outside. How's the airflow in that greenhouse?

Ya, this was not the first time I have seen it. My friend gave my a large clone that had the PM on it. I sprayed it with neem, yucca and some other stuff about 4-5 weeks ago and didn't see a problem until last week. You are right, this time of year with the temp swings between day and night starting to get a little more drastic, it was bound to pop its head up.. Fingers crossed that this ATAk is the non systemic answer to the revolving problem. I just picked up the Transport at the store. Maybe I will hit it in a few days again

never heard of cocowet, but transport penetrates the waxy cuticle layer of leaf delivering whatever is being sprayed directly into plant

So I saw a trace of the PM on one of the leaves that had it the worse this morning. Immediately mixed up the ATAK with the Transport this time... The Transport seems to be the real deal, the leaves actually look healthier this time after being sprayed. The leaves have a slightly deeper green and have that nice shine! I didn't expect that, pleasantly surprised!! No sign of mildew post application, we will wait and see...

ATAK Report

ATAK Report

So low and behold, the PM has crept up ever so slightly outside in the greenhouse again. In addition, and much more disturbing, is that it has also found its way inside now to both my veg and flowering rooms. Nothing severe but I found tiny patches in both rooms. I have applied it to the greenhouse with the transport now 3 times at the 10mL per quart ratio and I have been hitting my indoor rooms each week at the 5mL ratio as a preventative because they previously had shown no sign of infection. What shocks me the most is that I discovered the spot in the veg room 2 days after I soaked the entire room (at the 5mL ratio). All in all, I have to say that the ATAK is overall a FAIL as a preventative and PM eradicator. With that said though, the plants seem to love it as a general foliar feed and I will probably switch to the overgrow to bring in the added benefits of the REV and WATTS, but I will continue to use it (Just not to fight PM).

To be fair to optic foliar, I live in an area where the PM is a serious problem, everyone I know has battled it on some level, some continuously. And it did better the situation in the greenhouse each time it was used, just only slightly and not in all spots. On one occasion I found a heavy infection and pulled the plant aside. I saturated the leaf for a solid minute, it was covered. 30 min later I inspected the leaf again and most of the mildew was still there. Now, was it dead? I don't know, the ATAK definitely slowed down the spread of the PM infection in the greenhouse. But after 4 applications (1 with Yucca instead of Transport) I feel it should have knocked it out completely and it definitely shouldn't have shown up in a veg room that was sprayed 2 days prior.

Again, it worked so well as a foliar though that I will continue to Use it! I'm Glad I tried it and I would overall recommend it, just not as a long term PM cure or one that should ever be considered for such in any sort of a large or commercial setting.

interesting QM, this is the description from the site

Description

ATAK wipes out any PM and increases plant health. The dual action of ATAK immediately combats and eradicates PM on the leaves while also signaling the plant to increase its SARS response to boost its own immunity and internal defense systems. Utilize ATAK to prevent or to combat PM, and increase plant health anytime from cuttings to late stages of flower.

  1. Shake concentrate before mixing
  2. For each 1 litre/quart of spray solution
  3. Spray leaves 2-3 times per week throughout growth stage and up to week 4 of flower

whats a quart? we do litres in uk so I dunno what a quart is?

Without splitting hairs, a quart is damn near the same amount as a liter. 4 quarts to a gallon BTW. I still plan on getting ATAK and giving it a whirl. Greencure is nice and worked but I could definitely tell the affects on the plants with burnt pistils and the tips of leaves. That was at the lower end of the recommended dosage as well, 1 TBS/gallon.
