Got GUNK in REZ NEED HELP FAST!!!

i went to do a water change in my waterfarm bucket today and noticed little things floating on the top of the water it looks like clear slime floating probably due to temps outside where in the mid 90's and my room temp was at 81 so i think it might be due to the high temps so i dumped out the water and theres little slime attached to the roots so i put in just fresh ph'd water and quite a bit of hygrozyme im all out of hydroguard so i need to go get more at the hydro store tomorrow but was wondering what i should do because i dont want to lose this plant seeing i made it to 2 wks into flowering and dont want it to die so any help from experinced hydro heads

Never had that problem myself, I'm sure if you search the forums for threads with 'slime" in them, you will prolly get best information. The change of rez was good thing at least, now to figure out what it was and what caused it. Warm temps are one thing I do know promote things like slime problems.

Just becareful with addatives, don't go overboard and give things time to work.

the nutrients im using are flora nova bloom, floralicious bloom, diamond necter,liquid kool bloom, and hygrozyme is that overboard on nutes???

i use about
3/4 tsp of flora nova bloom
1 tsp of floralicious
3 tsp diamond necter
2 tsp of liquid kool bloom

could this have done that its not like slime or sludge i dont know how to describe it more like white transperant floating things looked like back wash or the stuff that comes of the sides of your cheeks thats what looked like was in there....

clear slime is a fore warning of the rot, but the hygrozyme should take care of it and the hydroguard when you add should help even more

so ph'd RO water and hygrozyme should do the job? well i will be taking a trip up to the hydro store also i was wondering when i do pick it up should i just drop the recommened 37.5 ml per gal directly in the rez or should i add fresh ph'd RO water again and re-add hygrozyme and i was think hydroguard or flora shield dont know which one im gonna get gonna ask the hydro guy but anyways how should i go about applying this should i let the plant sit in water and flora shield with no nutes for a day or two until the slime doesnt come back or do i add nutes too some help my way would be really helpful lost in space cakes over here....

i would say just add the stuff to your res unless that needs to be changed or something and then top up with a ph'ed nute solution

yes or you could add a little hydrogen peroxide when you change the rez until you get more of the hydroguard...what type of water are you using?

like around what type of application real light or the way i have been doing it? im really lost and dont meen to be bugging the shit outta you for info but im straight lost and am freaking out i just want some kinda weed of this plant seeing its my first grow and its like 5' in my closet with budsites everywhere tons and i open my rez to smell this NASTY ass smell my girl was like did you just take a dump i was like no its this shit thats in the rez well i was wondering whats up with the amount of nutes i should add thanks rkrone i really appericiate your help...

how high is your water level in the bottom bucket if its to high thats your problem..the water has to drip down and splash in the rez bellow

you got rot using hydroguard something is really wrong and in the water farms thats hard to do it must be your water level

im using reverse osmosis water and ph'd to 5.8 then i threw in some hygrozyme and thats all thats sitting in my rez right now its about 70 degrees in my grow room hum 40% and water in res is at 65 degrees... but when i changed the water and got all the gunk out there where little pieces on the roots didnt want to touch them so i put the RO water and hygrozyme and dunk it in and out and watched more of the gunk come off so im really wondering how long should i do this for and with the water thats already in there its safe to just throw in the hydroguard and some nutes directly into the rez someone told me different but dont think they knew what they where talking about thanks brianthor for the help too bro...

wash your rez refill with the hydroguard and nutes as usual...put two gallons in the waterfarm no more...the water has to drip from the top bucket to the bottom
did you add a airstone to your bottom bucket

no i dont think it was from the hydroguard maybe it might of been from having the water level too high i had it over the white line the past couple of days due to be out all day and wanted to make sure it had more water... bad idea??? the water that was in the second bucket was a little high but also i have a bubble disc that puts a fair amount of bubbles in there so i think i might have added to much kool bloom or something like that heres my nutes i use incase this helps maybe ones messing up the other...

I use flora nova bloom, floralicious, diamond nectar, kool bloom, hygrozyme and hydroguard...

i got other stuff too that i dont use like pro-tekt, superthrive, cal-mag +, liquid karma.

you got root rot and you need to keep only two gallons in your system if you dont want it again..after this run throw out your medium and bleach your system...you have to understand how your system works...the water drips through the ring...flows through the top bucket and then drains into the bottom bucket..as the water splashes in the bottom bucket it is creating oxygen in the water thus the waterfarm..i personally think you should add a airstone to the bottom rez it is easily done by running a extra airline down the pumping coll um..peace

yeah i already got one its a big circle one the 6" bubble disc im going to add another cant never have too much air so yeah but i will also drop the water level as well... so i should add my normal nute schedule then your saying once i empty the res again... yeah i dumped it and cleaned it then i just put in plain water with hygrozyme.

dont add anymore just a simple small airstone its only two gallons...when you harvest throw away your medium for it holds pathogens and will contaminate your next run..bleach the system...your problem is you over watered because the medium was was bellow the water line...two gallons never more in the waterfarm

i think im going to do a 2ft x 2ft 400 watt waterfarm scrog hear directly...crazy 100 watts per sq. ft scrog...should be fun...working on the third cabinet today should be getting a new bulb for the old 400 monday..i truly loved the waterfarms when i ran them...i just dont like cleaning crap loads of medium thus the bubble buckets i use...you inspired the waterfarm scrog coming soon to a thread near you...peace

yeah waterfarms are nice... i hate cleaning the hydroton too shits a pain in the ass but well worth it i got a beast 1 plant only and im using a 400 watter hps and its huge atleast 5 footer thats just the top of it... also how should i go about my nute dosage thanks again bro
