I am going through the same exact thing, I just find out a week ago which is perfect right before rent and all LOL.

I think we all have an old lady and kids it seems BUT the good thing is we do have something that can pay the bills unlike many around the nation and world for that matter.

What I have started to realize however is that if I stopped trying to EARN MORE MONEY and focus more on figuring out what is most important in life, living can actually be pretty inexpensive.

I mean how many are running around with a home loan, car loans, credit cards, 2 or 3 cell phones, all the cable channels possible, internet service, free credit score membership, gym membership and then bitch because they can't pay the bills.

We need to reduce our spending and wants each month and focus on what matters. To myself what I think makes sense is to grow my own food garden to save on food costs, to cancel all tv subscriptions, no xbox live, no extra phone and all the frills I used to feel were mandatory. How sad is that....

Now I can focus on spending time with my kids versus putting them on a damn tv show or instead of us all sitting on our asses watching tv to go out and do something like pick food from the garden or something else to teach my kids how to LIVE which means safety, shelter, food etc and really isn't getting good grades, getting into the most expensive school in hopes of getting a high paying job to pay off all the debt they incured while attempting to live the so called American dream.

Stay up my man but trust me it fuckin sucks. I hate looking at my kids then looking at my bank account. Brings tears I must say BUT in the end it is a kick in the ass to prioritize your life, your actual wants and your real deal needs in life.

smartest thing to do is to find another job. use the growing thing as backup. a job is a steady weekly paycheck that you can count on. too many variables with the other.

yeah if possible dont run the risk of being locked up and leaving your missus and the boys to get by on their own,, that would be a disaster,, but this is not the greatest climate by any means for finding employment,,

if you can try and reduce the basic costs of living that helps reduce the stress and is good for the kids to learn about and get used to the idea of,, maybe try and start growing food for yourself, is hard work initially and takes a while to get it down and be really productive but it makes life a bit sweeter,,

best of luck with everything! all good vibes to you and yours buddy! :ying:

Thank you so much for the kind words everyone, they mean so much, really!

I woke up this morning and panic hit me, so its now 5 am and Im awake but I look at all your messages and it made me smile, so really thank you sooo much!

For those of you worried about me making a profit from my hobby, I only need to turn over around $900 a fortnight to pay my bills and mortgage, and my current setup is due to pull on Sunday and then fortnightly after that so realistically I dont think it will be a major issue, times will be tough no doubt, but as my mum said to me last night "no ones dead, nothings permanently fucked and cant be undone (i.e. no ones paralyzed) your kids are happy and healthy, as is your wife so whats money really?"

My kids are great, and they're still too young to want things I cant afford (toddler and a new born). So I geuss this could, and should work out okay.

Thank you all for your support, it really means alot too me.

Alright then ladies and gentlemen, I feel I owe you trhis much, heres some photo's of this lovely perpetual garden that I've been working on, I dont have photo's of everything just the cool looking buds.

Bro you should feel blessed that you have health you and in your family.
Then you should look for another work, might take some time. I dunno but selling your harvest sounds really bad decision IMO. Maybe 1 time only until you find a job, i dunno but still too much risk, if something goes wrong you lose your most precious things in your life.

Anyway, best of luck and im sure you will work it out fast.

Being unemployed sucks. I too have two kids, and a wife. Its tough to make ends meet. I recently got a job at a garden shop but hours are kind of limited. Just keep your head up, at times you may get depressed, but you will be ok. Good luck to you buddy.

best of luck kiwi. if you took a lesser paying job & only supplemented your income w/weed sales you'd run considerably less risk of reprisals.......
