yes, that carpet will get stained if you don't. It cant be prevented. I put down 3 layers of Pond Liner I still have some area's that got stained.

yeah it does every now & then , not all the time . if it has plenty of water to suck up it usually doesn't . but if its suckin up alot of air , it will suck in the sides a little . good strong vac !!!!

Damn hammer, where you getting these pond liners cheap at? 3 layers of the last one i bought i could probably pay for new carpet instead Damn things are expensive.

I know i paid at least 120+ for the size i needed last time in my neck of the woods at the local depot or lowes. I was disgusted as i wanted to get two but didnt feel like bending over any further.

Maybe it was out a season or something...
