dam that's to expensive for me.. I did not know there was a fee.. the 420 cup in the dam use to have no entry fee. Just bud is the entry fee.

Ya that's a crazy fee for you to give some randoms some bud to smoke for free pay them 2k or 1k and if you win get a shitty trophie or ribbon for winning. Wtf!

I guess they feel everyone in the canna world has money to just burn. Then you get someone like Arjan with deep pockets to come along and buy the cup and pay for 1st place.

Its pretty obvious HT is not that worried about TRULY finding the best "medicine" in that region. If they were, theyd run it more like PF described the 420 cup, or a traditional harvest cup. And less like an expo/concert/event.
With that entrance fee, they are basically limiting the contest to seed companies/dispo owners only. IMO seed companies/dispo owners are the only ones it would make sense to drop 2k, just for a chance at winning.
Im guessing winning a cup is worth a lotta cakie for a dispo. A LOT

Pappy that's right on point about HT, I'm actually trying to start a growers market kinda like your weekend farmers market here in Southern CO. This would allow a diverse group of growers to come together and display what they are working with on a non-bias basis.

Pretty much like WA has been doing for the last 5 years :)

the only thing in your plants that ants are interested in is the aphids. the ants tear off their wings so they can't fly away while the ants lick the excrement from their backsides. it's called honeydew. pretty nasty stuff actually.

if you've got the black RA's, they're pretty easy to spot on the roots and even easier to ID by the waxy cocoons they leave on top of the medium. if you've got the translucent red ones though, they are much tinier and harder to spot. i had one plant appear to commit suicide about a year ago. first the foliage came off. then it withered. i went to inspect it and the stem pulled right out of the medium like a bloody stump. nothing holding it together. i couldn't find any creepy crawlers either, but when i lit it up under the stereo microscope, that rotted out stem was teeming with the little red fuckers. they look damn terrifying @80x their actual size. i almost puked.

not to preach, but
1. DE is available at home depot.
2. i have never had any luck with the stuff.
3. i treat all my veg stock with imid when there's at least 70 days til harvest. shit works wonders and is apparently not that toxic or virulent to human beings.

i've got prolly 1200-1500 rips of the glue, just dying to get a haircut and throw roots into something. get JW to give the greenlight to have them hawked for $25 a pop. there's the booth and a couple suites and pay for the escorts who are gonna double as dab girls all weekend (before during and after the show).

now we just gotta sort out who's got the best flowers and 'trate and sign the fucking papers. i'll let you fellas handle all that longcocking. i've got some whores to interview.
