yep, jus didnt yield for nothin tho. This is my folks setup n i dont think gg4 the best plant to run in it. A lot of strains dont trip on root space, GG4 does. Still some of the frostiest buds i seen in person, wish i had my other camera to do it justice with....

My largest glue was grown in a 5g Square pot with a 90 day veg=13.8oz.. I have not done another 90 day glue.. I do have a 60 day in a 20g smart pot and a 45 day in a 15g... The 20 was trained to be bushy. She is at 5.5'. The 15g was not she is pushing 7'. I want a lb from the 20g.

it should have a good smell as soon as trichs start showing up...if not, dare I say...dudd?

I'm almost sure of it now..

I'm throwing them all out... mother fucker

I haven't noticed anything strange from the rest of the garden except the gg and a pre 98 bubba that came from the same source..

Should I be concerned for the rest of the garden I.e plants in their proximity?

Can someone please tell me about when the gg acquires its smell in flower?

Much appreciated!

dont toss it just yet. i had the same experience. mine was good as gold. i have some weird thing where to me the gg4 doesnt stink in early flower in my nose. it almost just smells like generic plant material. but then i realize i can smell farther from my house than anything else ive ever grown. the smell is for some reason hard for my nose to smell in close proximity, i cant explain it. i thought to myself that the smell thing must be nice if you dont compare it to sour d. but then when i had it closer to harvest my clothes would smell so bad other people would comment and the dried pounds smelled so strong it was nauseating. i bet you got a good cut theres seeming to be less and less of dudded gg4 showing up around. i didnt think it stank in early flower either especially my first run.

it is up there with the loudest weed ive ever grown. the smell has leggs that like to walk. hard to contain. it is smellier than sour d imo. its a very similar but also a different smell profile than sourd. closest comparison for me seeing as ive only ever run a few chemmy strains, sourd headband and some cut referred to as just chem dog. not sure what it was. floated around here for a minute it was very similar to sourd.
it has that smell with a lil less skunks and more acrid and sour with a bubba mocha thing in the back. after some time i now agree with the soap thing byf mentioned. i like it though. its totally soapy smelling to me now. it just hit me one day and now it is what i smell when i smell it. its not a bad thing but its so strong sourchemmy dank that its like perfumey or something. i cant describe it but its kinda how lavander oil can hit you. it doesnt smell like lavender at all but it has that weird acrid soapyness that comes to mind when you think of soapy smells.
imo its in a good way. the terps are of the chart on this cut. so heavy stanky its nauseating to harvest. i love it more and more. i hit a new level with her this round raising humidity to match the vpd chart. it seems to make her very happy to just exude frost in an impossibly dense fashion.

several people now along the way have told me my humidity is too low but i figured they were being too picky and that 40-55 humidity was a fine spot and works well enough. well i tried umping up and hitting the sweet spot precisely. it is looking even more insane and more importantly im getting way less fox taily looks and those weird crumble tight little tops have dissapeared.

to all of you who kept nagging me to raise humidity. :tiphat: you were right the difference appears to be significant. happy fucking plants.

I'm 4 1/2 weeks in with zero stank... same with the bubba..

They are already gone to be honest.. had 30+ clones ready to roll next round. In the trash they went

I'm quite positive they were dudds. Strange yellowing, no smell. Also they had thrip damage when I received them, which was disclosed to me before purchase however I'm thinking the thrips vectored a Disease or virus of some sort.. wasn't about to risk losing everything

I had them in quarantine for literally over a month and bombarded them with gnarly pesticides. They were scoped many many times so I'm sure there were no broad/cyclamen mites . Also all other plants are growing and smelling as they should..

I'm kind of relieved to be honest.. I was beginning to question myself and why the Fuck they weren't looking right..

Oh well..I will have to find her somewhere else.. any ideas in CO?? I've got my red card...

Also.. I do run a higher humidity to limit vpd!

Also meant to mention.. They were vigorous in veg, cloned easily and even stretched great. About three weeks in the one gg and one bubba I was testing went to shit.

I am very happy I did do a test run.. at least I got these wifi seeds to look forward to

I always here people in the store Im in, saying it smells like a skunk in there. But its just a small nug in my jacket pocket double bagged.
I would have finished them out ShredGnar. But thats just me and Im not in your garden able to see what your seeing.... so...... Hope you find a cut your happy with.

My humidity is really low. It stays between 25% thru 35%.
I put a humidifier in there to keep it as close to 35% as I can. It seems to be really freakin dry in my room, but I thought that was a good thing and would keep any Powdery Mildew away.
Maybe I should get another humidifier and run 2 so the RH is at 50%? I like to keep it at around 40% - 45% during flower.
I havent got any foxtailing on my buds yet with the RH in that zone.

ya in veg.. my plants loved humidity.. then in flower.. I dropped it to 60 for the first 3 weeks.. 50 for the 4-5 and down to 45 the 6-8.. and drop my temps and humidity and raise my lights for the flushing/reducing of nutrients.. depending on a few factors
