nice one Tony, lets hope they smoke as good as they look!

I should have mentioned this earlier, but props also go to Lean Green for unselfishly trading some of his very rare PTK seedstock and letting me play with it!

I got a few threads around about em and deffo give leangreen his props.

These are touched by Tom Hill, Leangreen, Verdantgreen and myself so another nice thing in my mind is you get a bit of magic from each guys touch.

Lean Green is one of our communities most under valued and slept on members. I've grown some GREAT plants from his work, and although I doubt they'll sprout, still have PTK seeds from him. He and I generally smoke the opposite end of the spectrum, but he's been a great friend for over a decade. :respect:

If you look in my albums the Burmese/G13 x Blockhead were his creation. I encouraged Karma G to find a good Burmese cut to play with, which resulted in a Burmese x from his company. That is 100% because of Lean Green, ultimately.

This all aside - Tony, those plants absolutely look NEXT LEVEL. Great project to all involved and the love that went into it shows in the offspring.

These types of things is what makes ICmag the BEST. Thank you for your hard work and focus on this project. Let me know where to sign up!

:respect:

ain't no drama like pot drama

tony - did you get those fungus gnats handled? i had a helluva time with myself literally hundreds of them flying around the grows. no visible or lasting damage to any plants except one seedling seems to be stunted. bti mosquito dunks handled mine i know you were worried about the cold killing the bacteria, but i got mine from a local hardware store and they seem to be active enough to work.

What impresses me is all of these outcrosses have used different gb males and not a bad one yet. Glad i took time to work.

Got spinosad coming. My seedlings are drinking slow. Not good. Major root damage. Might have to cut em and try to root fresh...

Mine weapon lately for gnats are sprinkling soil surface with grounded cinnamon
and for flyers just those yellow sticky traps... after few days am sees this treatment
destroys them totally... readed like cinnamon kills also worms in soil but mine
worms was never affected in any aplication..

also treatment cost is very low.. you need just grounded cinnamon and yellow sticky
traps.. cinnamon "gnat challenge" made miracles as it directly kills gnat larva with
destroying those fungus they eat and affect them directly with cinnamon alkaloide..

Its also organic method of ridding a gnats so its nothing to worry that will
affect final product in any bad way..

Got spinosad in today. Gave em a strong drench and my seed mom. Shes gonna go longer than the flowers.

Trouble with the seedlings is if they get bad the roots get destroyed then they sit in wet cups not able to absorb water then fungus sets in and its like the walking dead.
Hopefully they recover. Gonna let em sit a day then up pot into dry soil and try to dry these rootballs. Last act would be cutting them and try to reroot in cups of water.

Spinosad always works wonders, we will see. These are my nyco x gb seedlings affected.

After the orange f2s comes ganjaken super secret collabo... Details to come...

ugh good luck. i have a fully seeded plant going right now too and it looks like a damn sticky trap with all the dead gnats stuck to the frost.
she's almost done though, the calyxes are spliting open and i'm seeing mature seeds.
i might lose the one stunted seedling; i havn't seen new growth in a couple days.

Its a good day. Dropped a half dozen GB BX4 beans in water. Pheno hunt. From reading all thru this it seems the process of the BX steps has produced seeds that are pretty uniform and the phenotypes are similar and hopefully finding a keeper from whatever females pop from these should be easy. Hopefully.

Going to be a short veg of 4 weeks in smaller 3 gallon bags due to space issue. Looking for a bonsai mom to go along with the headbanger Im chopping down by end of week.

Pick the best flower from the plants after a 4 week cure and keep those clones and discard the runner ups. I hope by the end of year to have a bonsai mom GB to go along with the HB and maybe a sourD as well if I can score seeds.

Im glad I finally decided to start cloning and making bonsai moms so I can keep and regrow the genetics I like. For a small closet grower I got tired of growing the same seeds and have one grow with good smoke and genetics and then the next grow from same seed pack only so-so product. After a few years of growing I get it. IF you find something you like you better have some clones ready to make moms. It doesnt take a huge space to keep a few clones and a handful of bonsai moms.

Anyone know if a 5 ml centrifuge tube will hold 10-20 beans? Im looking for a size that holds more than ten.

5 ml is way to big for 20 seeds. Here is a picture of a 0.5 ml tube. The one on the left has twenty seeds in it and the one on the right has 19 of the same seeds next to it. 20 seeds is the max for this size seed in a half ml tube. Hopefully you can judge the size with the tape next to the seeds. If not let me know and I will line up the same seeds in a row next to the tape.

I like to pack my seeds at 12 in this size tube with a few drying beads. The beads are about the same size as the seeds.

I bought a quart of the beads about a year ago for around $20. It will out last anything I need them for.
