Most of what I know comes from my wife and from Cesar Millan videos. Dogs are simple, and Cesar covers all of this very well in a number of videos and books. Knowing how to properly train an animal (pet or kid) makes a huge difference. Glad the suggestions are working, but I won't take credit for them.

If I could sum up dog training in one word, the word would be "consistency."

Consistency:
steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.: There is consistency in his pattern of behavior.

I've owned dogs all my life. MY last 3 were labs. We outlive them, I don't want to go through that again, especially when you have to put them down
