Dubi, I’ve got 2 golden tigers from 2014 fem seeds just moved into flower. Can you tell me if the double Thai was used for this generation?

I flipped and cloned my plants a couple days ago got 4 GT2 and 4 GT3 fems going.
3 Malawi leaners from the GT2, 3 Thai leaners from GT3. 1 50/50 hybrid looking from both lines. I think I shouldnt of topped the Malawi leaners but they will probably bounce back… those GT3 Thai leaners are crazy most vigorous plants I’ve grown in while true f1 vigour.

Did you reverse Old Killer Malawi clone only in the GT3 fems or Old Killer Malawi BX Line?

I don’t think I’ve seen red / blood sap before 1 of my GT3 bleeds. White spots in the photo are from sulphur I sprayed before flip . I live in canada so PM is a huge issue never seen it indoors tho.

I did the original fem version this year.
It's very very good, but doesn't have the anxiety edge.
The last weed that I smoked that gave me anxiety was some Senegalese that a friend grew some years ago.

It all depends on what phenotype you have. I have already grown golden tigers which everyone who has tried smoke them has found the scariest herb ever. Other plants are just strong.
About the golden Tiger 3rd i can't give an opinion because i'm growing the first time now.

Hi @wutwut, if you'd asked me this question 3 years ago I would have said that Golden Tiger is my favourite weed that i've grown in almost 35 yrs of growing! These days it shares first place with Panama and original haze.

This year's pheno was half and half, Thai/Malawi. It's super strong and as the web site, it's perhaps too strong for novices.
The high is clear and stimulating but in larger amounts gets quite trippy. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's lysergic though. I have the tolerance of a horse!
The high last for several hours.
I'm not the best to talk about it effects when smoked, as all of mine has been made into cobs. Friends who have smoked the cob tell me it's excellent and is currently their favourite smoke.
A friend in their 60's told me that it was really sociable and that it left her mind clear.
The cobs from the GT are silly strong. Very trippy.

I'm not growing it this year, but only because I have enough cobbed to last for several years!

Nice! :) This one really bled @Fennecfox It's a trait more commonly found in Thai and Pacific sativa lines.

To answer your question, straight Old Killer Malawi was used in the Golden Tiger early breeding 2.0 steps, while the more inbred (granddaughter) New Killer Malawi parental was introduced to GT 2 genepool later, then the Thai/Malawi hybrid was strongly selected to Koh Chang and Meao Thai expressions in different mothers, and an extreme Malawi resinous expression too, although lately only the 2 more Thai dom mothers are used for GT 2 seed production (reg or fem).

@wutwut our friends and experienced GT growers are correct. GT 2 is our best sativa line if you are looking for such trippy, scary trips, especially Meao Thai dominant ones. I still prefer the Koh Chang dominant ones for effects, much more positive, equally trippy in the right plant. And you don't need to look for in big populations, most growers find such phenos in a GT 2 pack, especially from latest stock which are more Thai dom, trippy and mind blowing.

@wutwut GT 2 is the Golden Tiger regular and fem available for almost the last 10 years, both versions are pretty similar since both use same mothers with a unique difference in the last breeding step: fem version uses a reversed female while the regular version uses a male. Regular version is slightly more tropical and wild, but both still pretty similar for finished product.
