So today i decieded it was time to tame this girl and tie her down.

Usually i use pea netting that i find in the campo; Some of the farmers down near the coast, just abanden last years netting and leave it tangled in the vegation at the side of the feilds. Well this year i've run out of reclaimed netting so i used a bit of left over wire fencing that my neighbour had given me.

So here she is before the screen went over the top of her.

And a few from after the screens in place and the training has been done.

As usual, it looks a mess. Tomorrow morning it should all be standing up and then i will go through her again, in an attempt to bring all the good tops in line. A few days later i'll be removing bud sites from way down below the screen that will not get enough light to produce well.

It's back breaking work bending over the screen! thankfully it's only 30c today, not like the 44 of two weeks ago!

All the same i think i deserve a little dip to cool off. From our pool i can see (and smell) all 5 of my Ace's. Nice!.

Later today i have to clean it though! It's non stop here.

Time now for a little light lunch, before i have my siesta.

Have a great week guys.

Very nice trellising ... hopefully worth the effort! I've been running a near identical thai in a tent ... started out with three in there but this one just took over ... now fills entire tent. Thing is - not any suggestion or hint of a flower ... and that's after four weeks @ 11.5 hour days and a couple of banana skins. In fact I'm still not sure if it's a boy or a gal... very moderne. No hint of resins or terps and all it wants to do is stretch .... what's a fella gotta do??? Such a wicked looking plant though ... narrow lethal leaves. Bigger tent!!! Most interested in how you get on... keep us posted and best of luck ... they're a wild ride.

Hi Grow-cyclist, She'll be well worth the wait! I grew Goldern tiger last year and both my wife and I thik it's the best ever. I've smoked for almost 50yrs now and grown for over 30 yrs (but mainly indoor).

This one is taking longer to flower than my other plants (all Ace Sativas) and i do remember it being the last to flower last year, but not quite so late; I'm wondering if i overdid the grow food? We're lucky that we hve a long growing period (hopefully), so late finishing shouldn't be too much of a issue for me,

I would probablly top an indoor plant that's not flowering yet, but without pictures I can't be sure. Stick up a few pictures if you can. Good luck with the rest of your grow

Thanks for sharing, they're beautiful. I hope the weather holds up and they finish well.

Love GT. Great plant when she is allowed to finish, such profound effects!!

In 2016 i purchased a pack of GT Regs expecting to start growing but actually get things going until last year. I grew out 4 GTs with some other plants as my first grow and over a year later as i'm dowm to the last nugs from that run i thought i'd share my experience.

i made many beginner mistakes like leaving them in veg for way too long, dealing with 30+°C temps for months and whatever it was that had leaves dying off at an abnormal rate throughout flowering. Of the 4 i grew, two turned out to be male. As i set to flower the 2 females, they were in pots i would estimate to 3-5 Gal and were many weeks old. After almost a month under 12/12 they still wouldn't flower and were stretching like crazy. Switching to 11/13 did the trick but man did they stretch lol. I had to break the tops a few times and they would prop back up over night, such vigorous plants.
One of the two females has a strange wispy bud formation, more hemp-like than ganja is how i would explain it. And by mid-flower i had to choose to take it out the tent as i had underestimated how much room these would take and could only keep one.

The one that made it all the way through was cut down around 11 weeks and grew small buds all over the plant, and though i struggled with just about everything with that first grow, it yielded about 6 ounces of trichome-covered resinous buds smelling like mangoes/tropical fruit and wood.

I've grown around 30 different varieties since i started last year and this Golden Tiger has been everyone's favorite. Long-lasting effefts that cut through other strains with ease. I cut down on the smoking recently and the remaining one-year GT i have in jars leaves me with residual effects even 3h after smoking a few bong hits. There was some burnout to it the first months but after this long cure it is gone. A very strong but up high.

I popped the rest of the pack along with a pack of Zamaldelica Regs from the same time a fee weeks back. Looking forward to a lot more madness in the months to come

Also most my pics won't upload so here are some random shots of the grow

Welcome BooBeats :tiphat: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Golden Tiger, much appreciated.
GT is not the easiest, the fastest, neither best looking or best smelling pot, but it doesn't take much effort to find a GT female with such a high that can fully change your prespective about how strong, long lasting and trippy some potent sativas of this caliber can be.

Hola Hombre del mont, your GT pheno truly has a slow flowering onset, the slowest plant this season, isn't ? Looks mainly Old Malawi Killer and Meao Thai influenced.

Glad to see yours finally catching up the season Ur Humbl Nr8tor ;)

Hi happy rancher they are reacting slow at your latitude ... yeah most probably they will finish for Thanksgiving-early December there.

Thanks dubi. Almost everything but the ZT x OTH stayed pretty small this year, but she is coming along now. I’ll need to add some more granular feed to get her through. We had amazingly intense rains this past week and has washed everything away.
